Automotive Design Project Manager

The position will be part of our Milan Aesthetic Research Center, one of Huawei Research Centers committed to enhancing the quality of Huawei products by creating a strong design ecosystem. As a Car Design Project Manager at MARC, you will play an active role in the automotive design team, collaborating in a multidisciplinary and multicultural environment. You will work closely with experts in Product, User Experience, Brand, and Retail Design to shape the future of Huawei products and consumer experiences globally. The studio is located in Milan, Italy, one of Europe’s most dynamic and international cities.

What will be your main responsibilities?

· Be the organizing link between the Chinese clients an the MARC Milan design team. Actively participating in all stages of the process while upholding the timeline, manage deadline and inputs from partners.

· Help translate and share complex technical and cultural information.

· Willingness to understand the design activities, working from initial concepts through to production-ready designs, ensuring high-quality outcomes.

· Bring strong team enthusiasm and a curious mindset, focusing on establishing a seamless process through well defined deadlines and collaboration

· Assist in communicate and present internally design concepts effectively, ensuring clear and consistent understanding.

· Develop a solid knowledge of the Chinese automotive market,

· Travel to China or other project related locations a few times per year to support projects, conduct benchmarking, and engage with the HQ design team.

What are the skills required for this position?

· A solid background in project management, preferably within automotive design.

· A deep understanding of China and Chinese culture.

· A strong proactive mindset

· A deep interest for car design

· Willingness to help with the translation between English and Chinese.

· Interest in strategic thinking.

· problem-solving abilities.

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

· A team player who can also work independently, with a positive and proactive attitude.

· Fluency in written and spoken English and Chinese is required,

· Ability to work in a multicultural and international environment.

We offer a gross annual salary typically ranging from €50,000 to €60,000 determined according to objective criteria such as professional experience, competencies, and seniority. The applicable collective bargaining agreement is the CCNL Telecommunications, within level 6°.
