Bartender - Splendido Mare, A Belmond Hotel Portofino

Splendido Mare, A Belmond Hotel, part of the LVMH Group, is a charming guesthouse in the heart of the Portofino. Its celebrated restaurant, DaV Mare, embodies all the pleasures of piazzetta living through refined cuisine, curated in partnership with the 3-Michelin-star Cerea family. Awash with nautical spirit, our gem on the Italian Riviera celebrates the art of Ligurian living in its purest form. 

We are looking for a Bartender to join our DaV Mare Restaurant team. 

The ideal candidate is passionate about hospitality and comfortable with challenges.

He/She is willing to provide authentic and luxury experiences, demonstrating care, confidence, curiosity and community. 

Main duties & Responsibilities: 

• Fulfill the Bar operations assisting with service, setup, mise en place and cleaning, according to the Belmond policies, high standards and procedures; 
• Welcome customers entering the bar area and maintain a friendly atmosphere, establish and maintain good relationships with all guests and handle requests and enquiries; 
• Plan, organize, and control the operations of a bar; 
• To monitor stock levels, paying particular attention to use-by-dates on perishable goods, and order replacement deliveries as required;  Supervise the work of bar staff and other bartenders; 
• Assist the restocking and replenishment of bar inventory and supplies; 
• Brings suggestions for improvement.
  

• Effective communication, emotional intelligence and adaptability; 
• Collaboration: be a role model for teamwork, and proactively go out of your way to help others; 
• Drive results: set clear goals and expectations and maximize resource allocation to achieve them; 
• Be capable of advising on best-selling prices and review regularly according to the Bar Manager’s instructions. 
• Previous de-luxe Hotel & bar experience in the same position; 
• Fluent in English and Italian, third language preferred; 
• Good product knowledge; 
• Exceptional customer service skills;  
• Very presentable and well groomed; 
• Excellent interpersonal & communication skills, both with guests and colleagues; 
• Detail and guest care oriented

• We offer seasonal Labour contract according to C.C.N.L. Settore Turismo - Level 4,  Bartender; 
• Start date: October 2026 to End date: January 2027, with the aim of a continuous collaboration over subsequent seasons at Splendido Mare and a career path; 
• Salary as by CCNL + increase based on seniorirty and skill level, separate payslip for 13°,14° and TFR;
