About MBDA Group Communications

MBDA's Group Communications team is making a strategic shift to strengthen our brand and engage with new audiences. We are reinforcing our strategic focus, optimising our support activities and significantly increasing our engagement with the general public. Our objective is clear: to ensure every audience, from our customers and shareholders to the wider public, knows, understands and supports MBDA.

This role supports our existing team of 70 communicators across five European countries and will reinforce our strategic, editorial and project management capabilities.

The opportunity: Communications Project Lead

Reporting to a Communications Business Partner, the Communications Project Lead will be crucial in executing impactful communication projects aligned with our strategic and business objectives. He/ she will manage initiatives from concept to completion, ensuring consistency across all channels and mobilising the right teams and external partners.

Your responsibilities:

Strategic leadership:

• Translate the strategic vision from Communications Business Partners into actionable, multi-channel communications plans.
• Support the development of group-wide strategies and campaign concepts.
• Ensure all communications consistently align with the MBDA brand platform.
• Coordinate and prioritise projects based on strategic business impact.
• Propose strategic initiatives and proactive communication activities.

Project Management:

• Take full ownership of projects after the strategic scoping phase (including complex and/or sensitive projects).
• Oversee the entire project lifecycle: scoping, planning, execution, monitoring and evaluation.
• Manage internal and external resources, budgets, timelines and deliverables.
• Collaborate with dedicated operational and excellence teams to mobilise experts in digital, editorial, design, events and media.

Communication and influence:

• Lead the deployment of coherent, innovative and impactful campaigns.
• Ensure consistent messaging and a unified brand voice across all activities.
• Contribute to crisis communication and reputation management efforts.

Measurement and improvement:

• Define Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and monitor campaign performance.
• Produce comprehensive project reviews and identify opportunities to improve processes and workflows.
• Cultivate a culture of continuous improvement based on project outcomes and feedback.
