A Forward Deployed Engineering Expert partners directly with leading organizations to identify strategic AI opportunities and deliver production-ready AI solutions that create measurable business value. Your mission in Reply, as a Forward Deployed Engineering Expert, is to turn AI innovation into enterprise adoption working alongside customers to scale individual AI initiatives into lasting business impact and drive the evolution of operating models.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Turn AI into operational value. Drive the journey from AI opportunity identification to production adoption by designing and delivering multi-agent architectures, agentic workflows, orchestration layers, advanced data pipelines, and production-grade integrations. Work closely with customers to guide strategic decisions, evaluate implementation trade-offs, and overcome execution challenges.


• Apply AI innovation to real-world needs. Lead the adoption of frontier AI capabilities by evaluating and applying the latest advances, balancing innovation with usability, reliability, integration, security, governance, and long-term sustainability.


• Own enterprise AI outcomes end to end. Take shared accountability for the success of AI initiatives from early framing through deployment and scale-up, ensuring solutions achieve adoption, reliability, operational fit, and sustainable business value in production environments.


• Shape the future of Forward Deployed Engineering. Contribute to the evolution of the FDE practice by mentoring other engineers, sharing delivery experience, codifying successful approaches and recurring failure patterns; building reusable assets that support future engagements.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

• Academic background. A degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.


• Business and engineering integration. You leverage technical expertise and business acumen to lead co-creation of AI solutions with customers, framing high-impact opportunities and driving measurable transformation at enterprise scale.


• Customer-embedded experience. You excel at working directly with customers, users, and engineering teams in their operational environment, building trusted partnerships and translating business challenges into actionable AI opportunities. You can transform business challenges into production-ready AI solutions, guiding them through validation, implementation, deployment, adoption, and continuous improvement.


• Technical depth and AI architecture expertise. You bring hands-on experience designing complex AI architectures and delivering AI solutions, including multi-agent systems, knowledge-centric architectures, and enterprise-scale AI platforms. You understand how to design and implement the data foundations that enable enterprise AI, ensuring information is accessible, reliable, governed, and ready to power scalable, production-grade AI solutions. You can assess emerging capabilities, evaluate technology maturity and associated risks; apply the right innovations to solve complex enterprise challenges.


• Business impact orientation and outcome ownership. You can translate technical decisions into measurable outcomes, connecting engineering choices to adoption, operational performance, productivity, risk reduction, and business impact. You act driven by customer outcomes, taking shared accountability for delivering AI solutions that achieve adoption, measurable business value, reliability, and long-term impact.


• Leadership and practice contribution. You have experience guiding technical teams, supporting the development of other engineers, and turning project experience into reusable knowledge, engineering standards, and delivery assets.

Relevant AI certifications, experience in advanced AI engineering, evaluation, observability, governance, safety, and the development of scalable enterprise AI solutions will be considered a strong asset.

Your compensation package will be defined based on your professional experience, technical expertise, and level of responsibility.

The position is expected to start from the B3 level of the “CCNL Metalmeccanica Industria”, with a gross annual salary ranging from €55,000 to €90,000.
