As Maintenance Technician, you will perform routine and more complex maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, preventive maintenance and installation activities on industrial process equipment and site utilities, promptly and safely, to minimize disruptions to site operations.

The role requires availability to work on day shifts and to provide on-call support (night and weekends if needed) for our Site in Caronno Pertusella (-VA- Italy)

Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, you will:

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production equipment, utilities and industrial plant systems.


• Support equipment recovery by diagnosing failures and working together with Production and Maintenance colleagues to restore operations.


• Carry out installation, repair, adjustment and maintenance activities on pumps, gearboxes, compressors, valves, fans, piping systems, pneumatic systems and other industrial equipment.


• Read and use technical drawings, electrical diagrams and technical documentation when required.


• Identify recurring maintenance issues and share them with the Maintenance Supervisor / Maintenance Manager to support reliability improvement.


• Document completed work, deviations, spare parts used and follow-up needs in line with site procedures and the maintenance management system.


• Collaborate with Production, Engineering, EHS, Quality and external contractors when required.


• Contribute to strong housekeeping, safety, hygiene and product standards during and after maintenance activities.


• Work in compliance with applicable local regulations, Givaudan standards, EHS requirements, product procedures and internal safety guidelines.


• May perform other tasks as assigned.

Your professional profile includes:

Academic background

• Technical diploma in Mechanical, Electrical or Electromechanical discipline.


• Additional technical qualifications in welding, pipe fitting, electrical maintenance, pneumatic systems, pumps or industrial equipment repair will be considered a plus.


• For electrical profiles, PES / PAV / PEI certification, or equivalent electrical safety qualification, is required.

Experience

• Overall work experience of 5 years as a Maintenance Technician in an industrial manufacturing environment.


• Experience in process industry, food ingredients, chemical, pharmaceutical, flavour, fragrance or similar industrial operations will be considered a strong advantage.

Technical knowledge

• Good practical knowledge of industrial maintenance activities.


• Comfortable using hand tools, workshop equipment and testing devices safely.


• Basic knowledge of maintenance management systems, SAP or similar tools is preferred.


• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office is preferred.


• Basic English knowledge.


• Driving licence and own car.
