Lead Business Consultant - Production IT & MES 

Do you see yourself in a key role where you connect people, processes, and IT to drive business-critical change? If so, you might be our next Lead Business Consultant.

In this role, you will be a trusted advisor with strong relationships across our global organization. You’ll work closely with business stakeholders and developers to shape solutions that matter – turning real-world challenges into smarter ways of working on the shop floor, while creating transparency through data.

With sustainability, digitization, and operational excellence at the core, Danish Crown is undergoing an ambitious business transformation. Our department is the go-to partner when we innovate in one of our 50+ production sites - whether it's introducing new processes or technologies, increasing automation, replacing legacy systems, enhancing traceability with data, or tackling other complex challenges. We take ownership from start to finish - analyzing needs, proposing solutions, creating functional descriptions, and delivering full-scale development and implementation.

Key responsibilities

• Lead or take part in business-critical projects and major/minor changes, with a special focus on our processing factories


• Become an expert for our MES processing software


• Facilitate workshops, lead dialogue, and challenge assumptions to reach the best outcomes


• Translate business challenges into clear functional specifications and communicate them to developers


• Conduct on-site factory analysis, train key users, and drive change management


• Plan and take part in testing with developers and end-users, including verification of deliverables


• Document deliverables clearly and effectively


• Facilitate hand-over of solutions to operations (support functions)


• Continuously improve our ways of working, making us smarter every day

The ideal candidate

• Has strong interpersonal and empathetic skills – to understand needs, build trust, and create engagement with specialists, developers, production personnel, and top management 


• Has substantial experience in the industry or in a consultant role, with a proven ability to lead and influence change


• Is confident with both strategic and hands-on tasks in a production IT context


• Knows how to translate business needs into IT solutions that deliver real value


• Thrives in cross-functional teams and collaborative environments


• Stays focused and committed – even when delivering change requires patience and alignment across many stakeholders


• Brings a proactive mindset, takes ownership, and drives progress even in situations where not everything is defined


• Has experience in process analysis, IT development processes, and/or factory/production IT (MES) 


• Is interested in exploring technical solutions (IT/MES, OT (PLC, SCADA), etc.)


• Is fluent in English and Danish


• Brings additional language skills, such as German, or knowledge of SAP and Arolink – both considered advantages, but not requirements

Your department: Production – Part of Global IT

Production is part of Danish Crown’s Global IT department, headquartered in Randers. Global IT operates as a global IT competence centre for both new and existing solutions, with more than 270 colleagues located in Denmark, Poland, Sweden, and Germany – approximately 150 of whom are based at our Randers HQ.

You will be part of a team of consultants, technical project managers, and developers working on systems that keep production running efficiently and provide critical data and traceability – turning operational complexity into actionable insight. We are on a journey to simplify and standardise our production IT landscape, and we are looking for someone who wants to help shape that future.

Your workplace will be at Danish Crown Vej 1, Randers but expect approx. 10-30 travel days as projects require on-site presence.
