JOB SUMMARY

Using their essential experience within Catering, Provision and Laundry areas, the role holder provides the input needed to ensure the proper execution of the project, delivering a vessel which meets the agreed specifications detailed within the contractual documents, including all technical specifications and annexes, cooperating with the Yard into highlight non conformity items in time for a proper correction and resolution.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Carry out daily inspections on Owner’s behalf in accordance with shipyard schedule
• Follow up open items from the construction process with the Yard representatives, attend meetings with Yard technical office, production teams for defects and remarks discussion/resolutions
• Report to the catering Manager with reference to the progress of production, status of the open items and potential main open issues to be highlighted in the monthly progress report
• Cooperate with the operating company team at the Yard during the inspection, commissioning and hand over period for a smooth transition
• Support the operating company after the Vessel delivery to follow up open items coming from the construction and commissioning period and/or to complete part of the inspections and hand over after delivery
• Support the Catering team for specific topics during the Vessel project development with also the objectives to improve the following constructions
• Take part in mock-ups and FAT on Owner’s behalf
• Patrolling activities once not involved in attending inspections
• Take part in the sea-trials

QUALIFICATIONS

DEGREE TYPE: None

FIELD(S) OF STUDY: Maritime

EXPERIENCE

• 5 years in the cruise market construction field as frontman.

COMPETENCIES/SKILLS

• Knowledge of the different marine construction phases
• Confident using Microsoft Office Suite
• Proficient in the English Language (B1 or above)
• Demonstratable Team Working Skills
• Good Communication Skills
