Verification Lead, Offshore Midstream and Downstream

Based in Paris, France, you will support the delivery of verification and technical assurance services for projects across the Oil & Gas sector and the wider energy industry.

In this role, you will contribute to project delivery, coordinate engineering activities and work directly with clients and key project stakeholders.

You will have the opportunity to:

• Build strong relationships with clients and support business development activities, including proposal preparation and project scoping.
• Manage verification projects, from planning and coordination through to delivery, ensuring agreed schedules and budgets are met.
• Coordinate engineering activities across clients, contractors and multidisciplinary teams to support effective project execution.
• Perform independent verification and technical reviews of mechanical engineering deliverables in line with applicable industry codes, standards and project requirements.
• Collaborate with DNV experts across disciplines and regions to deliver high-quality assurance services.
• Further develop your technical expertise and contribute to knowledge sharing within the Verification Team.

You have a solid technical foundation with good commercial awareness and strong interpersonal skills. You enjoy solving engineering challenges, coordinating with different stakeholders and working with clients and colleagues to deliver practical solutions. You are comfortable managing multiple priorities while maintaining a high standard of quality and professionalism.

We are looking for someone who has:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent qualification.
• Relevant professional experience in the Oil & Gas industry, ideally in project management or a similar role.
• Good understanding of mechanical equipment and systems used in Oil & Gas facilities.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary and international teams.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with a proactive approach to finding solutions.
• Professional fluency in French and English, both written and spoken.
• Willingness to travel occasionally according to project needs.

It would also be an advantage if you have:

• Experience with commercial bidding and proposal development.
• Familiarity with international codes and standards, such as API, ASME, ISO or IEC.
• Knowledge of project execution processes within EPC or operator environments.
• A project management certification or relevant professional membership.

• Experience working in consultancy or third-party verification.
