The intern will contribute to further develop Ashoka’s programs and partnerships in Italy while supporting the efforts in community management, communications and events. The intern must be based in Milan or surrounding area to be able to work from our Milan office, supervised by the co-director of Ashoka Italy.
What You'll Do:
- Fundraising and partnership development (50%)
- Conduct desk research for potential partners and individual donors in Italy
- Contribute to writing proposals for new partnerships, preparation and creation of pitch deck materials/ communications content
- Join strategy calls
- Reach out to contacts to schedule meetings
- Community and Event Management (50%)
- Support Ashoka’s community engagement through various events
- Support in managing the ecosystem database (Salesforce)
- Manage guest lists and invitations
- Coordinate logistics and the calendar of events
- Prepare material for events: invitations, reminders, follow-ups, possible visuals, and others
What You Bring:
- You’re currently studying or recently graduated in a relevant field (e.g. Business, Social Sciences, Development).
- You have an entrepreneurial mindset—experience building something is a big plus.
- You’re organized, proactive, and a great communicator.
- You’re comfortable with tech tools and would love to explore
- You care about social impact and want to be part of something meaningful.
- Someone available full time or part time, ideally for 12 months (minimum 6 months)

- Entrepreneurial Quality: Compelled to take creative initiative and ownership (e.g. founding an organization or company, starting a movement, or re-shaping the work of an existing organization). Demonstrates relentless and realistic how-to-thinking and passion for seeing their ideas come to life.
- Understanding and Belief in the Everyone a Changemaker: Understands and believes the Everyone a Changemaker vision at a gut level. To be able to innately ‘get’ this, candidates should have a broad and inquisitive intellectual and a thinking pattern that connects the dots between historical trends and current social context.
- Emotional and Social Intelligence: Ability to work efficiently and respectfully in teams, putting organizational/team goal first (personal glory second).
- Ethical Fiber: Exceptionally strong ethical behavior. Is self-reflective and has strong empathy skills. Trustworthy.
- Self-Definition: The person expects that changing the world in big ways and on a continental scale is what he/she will do in life.
