Jetfly Aviation is the Jetfly division dedicated to fractional aircraft ownership, serving over 500 co-owners across Europe. Luxembourg hosts the operational hub and administrative departments, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations and high-quality service for all co-owners.

In order to strengthen the team, we’re looking for a highly motivated Accountant to take care of the A-Z accounting of several entities.  Working in close coordination with relevant teams, the successful candidate must be an accounting expert with a high degree of interest in the aviation.

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Accountant to join our Finance team. The successful candidate will be primarily responsible for the day-to-day accounting activities, month-end and year-end closing processes, financial reporting and statutory compliance for a portfolio of entities.

The position requires a hands-on and autonomous accounting professional with strong attention to detail, a structured approach and the ability to work effectively with internal teams, external advisors and service providers

Key Responsibilities include:

General Accounting

• Day-to-day book-keeping


• Perform data reconciliations


• Prepare monthly management accounts in the relevant GAAP and format on a timely basis


• Prepare documents to be shared with third parties


• Maintain accurate master data files and support files


• Ensure proper archiving of documents


• Produce annual accounts in the relevant GAAP for various entities


• Assist in audit process


• Manage relationships with external service providers when required

Tax & regulatory

• Assist in the coordination of the VAT returns and Tax returns preparation with our tax advisors


• Prepare data files and support files for Tax purposes


• Produce any other regulatory returns on a timely basis

Accounts Receivable

• Issue customer invoices and ensure accuracy of billing


• Monitor accounts receivable ageing and follow up on outstanding balances


• Perform customer account reconciliations and cash application


• Liaise with customers and internal teams to resolve payment discrepancies


• Prepare periodic AR reporting for management

Accounts Payable & Treasury – Back-up Support

• Provide back-up support to the Accounts Payable and Treasury functions when required


• Assist with invoice processing, supplier account reconciliations and payment runs


• Support the reconciliation of bank accounts and cash positions


• Assist with employee expense reports and vendor queries


• Provide additional support during month-end, year-end and periods of increased activity

Other

• Contribute to improvements of process


• Contribute to internal projects

Profile

• 5 years of proven experience in accounting, preferably within a commercial company or international environment.


• Solid knowledge of general accounting, including day-to-day bookkeeping, account reconciliations, month-end and year-end closing.


• Hands-on experience with Accounts Receivable and a good understanding of Accounts Payable and Treasury processes.


• Autonomous, rigorous and well-organised, with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple entities and priorities.
