Asset Management, Head of Distribution Governance, Executive Director

Reporting to the Conducting Officer, the role encompasses oversight of distributor due diligence, product registration, marketing delegation/branch oversight, contract management, and distribution support, with a primary focus on distribution governance and oversight. A key aspect of this role is the oversight of delegated and outsourced services, whether these are managed internally or with external vendors. The Distribution Governance team is based in Luxembourg and India, reflecting JPMAME’s commitment to a multi-location operating model.  The role is designed for a highly autonomous, business-oriented professional with strong market presence, combining leadership, client development, and technical expertise in funds distribution, while remaining selectively involved in complex operational matters.

Job Responsibilities

• Lead the strategic direction and governance of distributor oversight, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and firm standards.
• Maintain hands-on involvement in complex or strategic fund distribution matters, particularly in relation to cross-border fund registrations and distribution
• Ensure appropriate horizon scanning - monitor regulatory developments, market practices, and distribution trends impacting the global funds industry with a particular focus on Luxembourg and Ireland fund domiciles
• Monitor compliance by the firm and its delegates with the distribution strategy approved by the Board
• Monitor arrangements with distributors so that marketing activities are consistent with both the strategy and agreements
• Ensure effective oversight of 3^rd party distributors with adherence to distributor onboarding and oversight procedures.  Undertake appropriate initial/periodic and ongoing due diligence so distribution risks are identified and managed appropriately  
• Manage frameworks for product registration, marketing delegation, contract management, and distribution support across EMEA and other regions.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal clients as well as third-party providers, overseeing their deliverables effectively.     
• Contribute to the evolution of  the team, with a focus on innovation, scalability, and efficiency.
• Identify opportunities to leverage digital tools, automation, data analytics, and Artificial Intelligence in processes.
• Position the firm as a key market player through participation in industry forums, events, conferences, and targeted networking initiatives.
• Supervise and manage appropriate reporting to key stakeholders including Management Information (MI) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
• Ensure timely and accurate reporting to regulatory authorities
• Assist with Due Diligence calls, providing support to Client Advisors as required
• Deputise for the Conducting Officer as required

Required Experience, Competencies, and Skills

• Extensive experience in investment funds distribution, regulatory advisory, or asset management, within a focus on Luxembourg/Irish domiciled funds in an international context.
• Deep understanding of UCITS and AIF distribution regulations and cross-border marketing frameworks.
• Proven leadership managing teams across locations and stakeholder relationships with internal and external partners.
• Strong controls mindset, audit readiness, and experience with challenge, escalation, and remediation.
• Proven ability to leverage digital tools and data analytics in a governance context
• Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills; ability to present to senior stakeholders.
• High integrity and commitment to compliance.

Preferred Experience, Competencies, and Skills

• Fluency in English; other languages a plus.
