Junior Finance Officer - Finance Operations & Reporting

We are looking for an experienced Junior Finance Officer to support the Finance function across accounting operations, payments, reporting, compliance, payroll support, and financial controls. This role combines operational and reporting responsibilities and offers broad exposure to finance processes within a professional services environment.

Key Responsibilities

Finance Operations & Payments

• Process and monitor payments, bank transactions, expense claims, and corporate card expenses.
• Perform bank reconciliations and maintain payment documentation.
• Support treasury and cash management activities.

Accounting & Month-End Close

• Prepare reconciliations, accruals, prepayments, and supporting schedules.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Ensure financial records are accurate and up to date.

Reporting & Budget Support

• Support management reporting and financial analysis.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Maintain reporting files and finance dashboards.

Payroll & HR Finance Support

• Support payroll reconciliations and payroll-related accounting entries.
• Coordinate with HR on finance-related employee matters.

Tax, Compliance & Audit

• Support VAT filings, tax-related activities, and regulatory reporting.
• Prepare documentation for internal and external audits.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and finance policies.

Systems & Process Improvement

• Maintain finance data within ERP systems (Workday experience is an advantage).
• Contribute to process improvements, automation initiatives, and data quality enhancement.

Profile

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, BTS, DCG or a related field.
• 2-3 years of experience in finance, accounting, audit, or financial operations.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong accounting and analytical skills.
• Advanced Excel proficiency.
• Experience with ERP systems (Workday preferred).
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and stakeholders.
• Strong communication skills and a proactive mindset.
