Quento Technologies seeks a highly motivated and experienced Testing Specialist. The role will be responsible for preparing and executing technical work related to the testing of applications, under the supervision of the Team Leader.

Responsibilities:

  • Use project management tools;
  • Advise, via the applicable standard reporting, the responsible statutory staff and/or the Project Manager/Project Owner, according to the instructions received, about the test results;
  • Set up and develop test techniques;
  • Create automated test suites;
  • Assess and propose improvements of the test processes, methodology and tools;
  • Lead and coordinate the testing of products delivered by other teams, to help ensure that they conform to the Contracting Authority’s requirements and methodology;
  • Maintain quality plans, provide regular and accurate updates and reports;
  • Provide advice as requested when detecting deviations from the tolerances foreseen;
  • Proactively identify possible issues/risks;
  • Prepare line of test for automated testing where possible;
  • Ensuring that all activities and duties are carried out in full compliance with regulatory requirements and supporting the continued implementation of the Group Anti-Bribery and Corruption Policy. 


Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree;
  • Minimum 3 years of professional experience in IT and in testing/evaluation and tools/methods;
  • Experience working in complex application environments;
  • Good technical knowledge in testing;
  • Skills in test design techniques, in testing tools on the market and in minimum one test methodology;
  • Knowledge of legislative chain;
  • Practical knowledge of Selenium within DevOps/DevSecOps, using programming languages like Python, Java, JavaScript, or C# (.NET);
  • ISTQB certification is required;
  • Knowledge of service management, project management or IT management best practices (e.g. Agile, DevSecOps, Prince2, PMI, PM2, RUP, PMM4EP, ENGAGE, ITIL or equivalent), and experience of working in organisations and activities applying one or more of them;
  • Optionally, experience with mobile devices and OS compatibility testing;
  • Knowledge of change control procedure of tests, including revisions of test cases;
  • Experience in Q&A (process oriented) would be considered as an asset;
  • Very good oral and written communication, in particular for quality and testing result reports;
  • Web Accessibility Specialist with strong knowledge for test analysis concerning accessibility issues (ref.: Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1/2.2;
  • Levels A and AA, and Harmonised European standard EN 301 549 on Accessible ICT Products and Services);
  • Ability in testing using assistive technologies, such as screen readers and screen magnifiers, keyboards, to simulate the user experience for people with disabilities;
  • Practical knowledge of Testing tools: Accessibility Insight for Web, Google LightHouse, SiteImprove or equivalent;
  • Knowledge OpenText ALM, Octane, UFT One, Jira/ServiceNow, SoaPui, Selenium, Confluence, xWiki, VBScript, XML, will be an asset;
  • Will also be an asset to have certification in accessibility, such as the IAAP Web Accessibility Specialist (WAS) or any other relevant web accessibility certification, as for ISTQB certification;
  • Very good knowledge of English (Level C1) or very good knowledge of French (Level C1). Knowledge of both languages, one at C1 level and the other at B2 level in any configuration, is required.
