Intern - RC Services

What’s the role?

This is an entry-level opportunity to join the RC Services team in Luxembourg, which operates at the intersection of AML/CFT compliance and client fund governance. The intern will work alongside experienced compliance professionals supporting the delivery of Responsable du Contrôle (RC) services to client funds, gaining practical exposure to Luxembourg's regulatory framework. The role reports to the Associate Director of RC Services and provides a structured introduction to fund AML/CFT compliance in a regulated, client-facing environment.

What you’ll be doing

• Support the preparation of quarterly and annual RC reports to client fund boards, including drafting summaries of AML/CFT activity.


• Assist with the annual review of fund AML Risk Assessments, including data gathering, document preparation, and version control.


• Help maintain and update key compliance documents including AML policies and procedures, Risk Appetite Statements, and Client Risk Assessments.


• Support the completion of regulatory questionnaires including the CSSF AML/CFT Questionnaire for Specialized PFS and the AED AML/CFT Questionnaire for unregulated alternative investment funds.


• Assist with the annual review of AML risk assessments for delegates and authorised counterparties (e.g. Transfer Agent, AIFM, Depositary).


• Support the review and logging of Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) and Suspicious Transaction Reports (STRs) as directed by senior team members.


• Assist with investor onboarding and transfer processes from an AML/KYC perspective, liaising with internal teams as required.


• Help monitor regulatory developments and assist with updating internal documentation in response to changes in Luxembourg AML/CFT legislation and CSSF guidance.


• Support the team during regulatory inspections or internal/external audit reviews.


• Carry out research tasks and produce internal briefing notes on AML/CFT topics as requested.

The ideal background for this role:

• Must be seeking a mandatory end-of-studies internship to complete degree.


• Currently enrolled in or recently completed a university degree in Law, Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline.


• Genuine interest in AML/CFT compliance, fund regulation, and the Luxembourg financial sector.


• Basic familiarity with Luxembourg's regulatory environment and the concept of Alternative Investment Funds (AIFs) is an asset.


• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English; French and/or German are a significant advantage.


• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint).


• Methodical, detail-oriented approach to document preparation and record-keeping.


• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and professionalism.


• Proactive and motivated; comfortable asking questions and learning in a client-facing regulated environment.


• Strong team player with the ability to manage competing tasks and meet deadlines.


• AML/compliance certification or coursework (e.g. ICA, ACAMS) is an asset but not required.

Role Location/Hybrid Schedule

This role is based in our Luxembourg office. Although the nature of most of the roles within Gen II cannot be classed as totally flexible, there is scope in some cases for a form of Agile Working. The different ways in which Agile Working can be undertaken is dependent on the demands and needs of the business, the office space available and the individual’s preferences and circumstances.
