Job Overview: Are you passionate about building and leading high-performing Application Management Services (AMS) teams. Do you have extensive experience in SAP AMS, Service Delivery, Customer Success, and Practice Leadership?

Position: AMS Lead - APAC

Location: Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

Key Responsibilities

AMS Practice Leadership

  • Lead and grow the Application Management Services (AMS) practice across APAC.

  • Develop and execute the regional AMS growth strategy, focusing on customer retention, service expansion, and business growth.

  • Drive continuous improvement, innovation services, and Expert-on-Demand offerings.

Service Delivery & Operations

  • Establish and maintain a scalable AMS operating model aligned with cbs global standards.

  • Ensure consistent service delivery, SLA compliance, governance, reporting, and operational excellence.

  • Oversee service quality, utilization, and delivery performance across all AMS engagements.

Customer & Stakeholder Management

  • Build strong relationships with strategic customers and act as the executive sponsor for key AMS accounts.

  • Conduct governance meetings, service reviews, and executive customer discussions.

  • Manage customer expectations and act as the senior escalation point for critical service issues.

Leadership & People Management

  • Lead, mentor, and develop Service Delivery Managers (SDMs) and AMS delivery teams.

  • Drive resource planning, capability development, mentoring, and succession planning.

  • Foster a high-performance culture focused on collaboration, accountability, and customer success.

Presales & Business Development

  • Support AMS presales activities including solution design, effort estimation, pricing, proposals, and customer presentations.

  • Collaborate with Sales, Account Managers, and Practice Leads to identify and develop new AMS opportunities.

  • Contribute to RFP responses, workshops, and solution positioning.

Financial & Operational Governance

  • Monitor KPIs, SLA performance, customer satisfaction, utilization, and operational metrics.

  • Ensure profitable delivery across AMS accounts while managing operational risks.

  • Drive automation, process optimization, and continuous service improvement initiatives.

Job requirements

Required Qualifications

  • 12+ years of experience in SAP Application Management Services (AMS), Service Delivery, or Managed Services.

  • Proven experience leading regional AMS teams and managing enterprise customers.

  • Strong understanding of SAP support operations, ITIL principles, and service governance.

  • Experience managing customer escalations, SLA performance, and operational excellence.

  • Demonstrated experience in presales, business development, and customer relationship management.

  • Strong leadership, stakeholder management, communication, and people development skills.

  • Experience working with global delivery teams and multinational customers.

Preferred Qualifications

  • SAP project or AMS leadership experience within a consulting environment.

  • ITIL Foundation or Service Management certification.

  • Experience supporting SAP S/4HANA and cloud-based AMS engagements.

  • Knowledge of automation, continuous improvement, and managed service frameworks.
