Purpose

To ensure the statutory compliance and accuracy of financial numbers across Asian entities. To align with the region’s strategic direction by developing  high performance finance team and leading  initiatives that partner with to cross function/cross countries leaders to achieve business objectives 

Key Responsibilities

Financial Controllership
-    Lead the financial close process, ensuring timely and accurate reporting all Asia entities while driving process improvements such as streamlining, acceleration, and enhanced controls (e.g., account reconciliations DOA and internal controls). 
-    Oversee the design, implementation, and effectiveness of the internal control framework for financial reporting. 
-    Coordinate internal and external audit activities to ensure compliance and efficiency. 
-    Partner with Legal, Tax, and Treasury teams to manage cross-functional financial requirements. 
-    Ensure all business financial reporting meets quality standards and is delivered on time.    
    
Budgeting and Forecasting
-    Direct the annual budgeting process, aligning financial plans with organizational objectives. 
-    Collaborate with the Leadership Team to set targets for earnings, returns, cash flow, working capital, and capital expenditure. 
-    Lead and facilitate the Integrated Business Planning process to ensure cohesive planning across functions. 
-    Work closely with Supply Chain, Commercial, and Operations teams to produce accurate financial forecasts, monitor performance, and implement mitigation strategies for gap closure.        

Financial Planning and Analysis
-    Provide accurate and timely financial insights to the Asia Leadership Team. 
-    Validate the integrity and accuracy of financial data to support decision-making. 
-    Deliver comprehensive monthly reports and analysis for business reviews, enabling informed management decisions.        
Process Improvement and Change Management
-    Drive standardization and harmonization of financial reporting processes.
-    Identify and implement process improvement opportunities to enhance efficiency.
-    Ensure workflows and procedures are well-documented and adhered to.
-    Lead the implementation of JDE ERP system and process enhancements.        
Decision Support
-    Ensure strong credit control across all Asia markets by tracking exposure, managing overdue risks and partnering with commercial teams to improve cash collection and working capital
-    Partner proactively with executives and managers to provide financial analysis, advice, and decision support to achieve business objectives.
-    Deliver financial and analytical support for ad hoc projects to inform commercial decisions.
-    Develop and maintain robust costing methodologies to ensure accurate product costing.        
6. Leadership & People Development
•    Build a high-performing, collaborative finance team across Asia.
•    Coach and develop team members to strengthen business partnering capability.
•    Role-model Nufarm’s RARE values and drive accountability and teamwork.
•    Develop succession and talent pipeline for key finance roles
•    Work hands-on with a lean team, stepping into operational gaps when needed to ensure delivery and continuity across countries        

Qualifications, Experience 
Mandatory
10 + years’ experience in a financial leadership role covering more than one country
Experience managing budgets, forecasts and performance reviews.
Financial analytics – turning data into insights for decision-making and business partnership
Proven ability to Optimising financial metrics to get best financial outcome 
CA/CPA Qualifications
Desirable
Exposure to agriculture industry or manufacturing or similar industry 
Experience leading cross-country teams in a lean, hands-on environment.
Experience supporting a business in its early-stage setup or expansion.
Exposure to ERP transformation or migration, ideally JDE or similar systems.
