Key responsibility
Public Relations: Act as hotel liaison with media. Develop media contacts, plan press conferences, and handle public relations activities, including press releases, media relations, content creator and influencer partnerships, and coordination of media visits and familiarisation trips. Develop key messages on promotional activities, marketing partnerships and brand sponsorships. Craft and pitch PR stories to key publications and third-party websites. Attend PR events to build a strong hotel profile in the local marketplace.
Awards and Accolades: Identify and submit bids for prestigious awards to maximise the hotel’s image, both nationwide and globally.
Crisis Management: Step in to assist the Director of Marcom with crisis management. Mitigate damage, control narrative, and develop effective strategies to maintain the hotel’s prestigious image.
Media Monitoring: Daily review of media coverage and compile hotel clippings for reporting purposes. Monitor changes in the media landscape based on the global economy and travel trends, and suggest proactive PR strategies to promote the hotel.
Digital Presence: Oversee the visibility and credibility of digital marketing activities, including website content management, SEO, social media channels (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, XiaoHongShu), email marketing, online reputation platforms (OTA channels, TripAdvisor, Google Reviews) and online advertising (Boost, Koddi, Meta, Google).
Brand partnerships: Identify, negotiate, and manage strategic brand collaborations with banks and Indulge members to enhance visibility, drive revenue, and create unique guest experiences. Secure opportunities and establish strategic partnerships with targeted luxury brands.
Creative Assets: Coordinate in-house and external photography and videography. Housekeep creative assets and ensure quality and brand consistency.
Creative Design: Brief the graphic designer on the direction of each campaign and suggest creative ideas that align with the brand identity. Develop hotel gifts and giveaways to support the Events and Food & Beverage campaigns.
Performance Reporting: Monitor campaign performance, analyse results, prepare performance reports, and recommend improvements to maximise ROI.
Market Insights: Monitor competitor activities, guest feedback, and hospitality trends to inform marketing strategies.
Event Marketing: Support the promotion of weddings, conferences, banquets, and other hotel-hosted events.
Agency/Partnership Liaison: Source, negotiate and manage relationships with agencies, suppliers and external partners.
Information Management: Ensure all hotel information is comprehensive, current, and accessible through updated press kits, marketing materials, and content management systems. Represent the Communications department to share relevant/useful information about the latest hotel activities/offers with other departments.
Internal Communications: Share relevant hotel activities updates with other departments to help enhance guest engagement and service delivery.
Event & Collateral Development: Conceptualise and execute hotel events, gifts, and giveaways. Collaborate with the Food & Beverage team to design festive product packaging and promotional items.
Budget management: Prepare, manage, and control the allocated marketing communications annual budget. Track ROI of all PR activations.
Corporate Social Responsibility: Strengthen community relations by partnering with the Human Resource Manager to shape and protect the corporate image, driving initiatives that foster meaningful engagement and positive social impact.
Accountability
Live the company's winning ways in the Brand and Digital Marketing business activities.
Take ownership of the Communications department’s and the hotel’s business growth and reputation.
Perform other related duties as assigned/when required, not limited to the responsibilities outlined in this job description, to support organisational goals and community initiatives.
What We Need From You
Bachelor’s degree/higher education qualification/equivalent in Hotel Management/Mass Communication.
Minimum 4 years of experience, including supervisory/management experience, preferably within luxury hospitality or premium brands.
Warm personality with great communication and interpersonal skills.
High proficiency in English with strong writing and editing skills. Proficiency in Bahasa Melayu, Mandarin and other languages is an added advantage.
