Job Description
As a Privilege Banking Client Advisor, you will be responsible for acquiring, developing, and managing relationships with affluent clients. You will deliver UOB’s signature advisory experience by understanding clients’ financial goals and providing tailored wealth solutions across investments, insurance, deposits, financing, and legacy planning.
This role requires strong advisory capabilities, a passion for relationship‑building, deep product knowledge, and a commitment to service excellence aligned with UOB’s values and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
1. Client Acquisition & Portfolio Growth
- Identify, prospect, and acquire new Privilege Banking clients to meet monthly and annual acquisition targets.
- Develop tailored financial proposals that meet clients’ wealth and lifestyle needs.
- Grow clients’ Assets Under Management (AUM) through structured advisory conversations and needs‑based solutions.
2. Relationship Management
- Serve as clients’ primary point of contact, delivering high-touch, proactive engagement.
- Conduct regular portfolio reviews to ensure investments are aligned with clients’ evolving goals.
- Deepen wallet share by cross‑selling wealth, insurance, lending, and cash management products.
3. Advisory & Solutioning
- Provide professional financial advisory in line with UOB’s risk‑profiling framework and regulatory requirements.
- Recommend suitable investment, protection, and wealth‑building solutions based on comprehensive needs analysis.
- Collaborate with product specialists, portfolio counsellors, mortgage teams, and insurance experts to deliver holistic solutions.
4. Service Excellence
- Uphold UOB’s service standards by delivering a premium client experience at every interaction.
- Support clients with account-opening, transactions, investment execution, and digital banking adoption.
- Address client queries promptly while ensuring confidentiality and compliance.
5. Regulatory Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure all advisory activities strictly follow internal controls, audit requirements, and regulatory guidelines (BNM, Securities Commission, etc.).
- Maintain proper documentation and adhere to Know-Your-Customer (KYC), Anti-Money Laundering (AML), and suitability standards.
- Participate in ongoing training and licensing requirements.
Key Requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or related fields.
- Relevant certifications such as PCE/CEILI, TBE, CFP, RFP, or equivalent are an advantage.
Experience
- Minimum 2–4 years of experience in wealth management, personal banking, priority/affluent banking, or related financial advisory roles.
- Proven track record in client acquisition, portfolio growth, or sales performance within the financial services industry.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong understanding of wealth products: unit trusts, structured products, insurance, deposits, and treasury solutions.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship‑building skills.
- High level of professionalism, integrity, and client‑centric mindset.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with internal stakeholders.
