Configuration Engineer 2

Demonstrate flexibility, adaptability, and strong communication skills while operating in HVM manufacturing environment. Support global configuration engineering community by participating in and supporting others within the role community. Configure unique Sales Order Bill of Material (OBOMs) from customer quotes and non-standard requests (NSRs), with a goal of zero defects. Review of incoming Order BOM changes to understand engineering and manufacturing needs. Adherence to Order BOM Change process and high-level of accuracy in implementation of those changes. Ensure timely implementation of unique non-standard customer specific requirements and engineering changes on OBOMs. Ability to hold yourself and peers accountable to high quality configurations using existing tools for self-review and peer-review. Participate and in cross functional teams to resolve issues throughout the lifecycle of an order. Plan new product introductions, including review and update of OBOMs. Decision-making, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. Ability to successfully interact with and coordinate across diverse parts of the organization, technical and non-technical. Continuous improvement mindset. Understanding of planning and order management processes. Strong understanding of Bill of Materials (BOM) structures, configuration control, and change management processes. Experience with MRP system planning, ordering, and scheduling materials, preferably using SAP, preferred Bachelor's engineering degree and a minimum of 2 years of related experience; or an advanced degree without experience. Knowledge of semi-conductor industry, or similar high tech manufacturing industry. Experience in problem solving techniques and tools, including 8D and PSDMP. Previous work experience in a manufacturing / configuration environment for physical parts (not software). Proven ability to adapt to urgent issues and process changes.
