JOB DESCRIPTION

• Assist food production at the tray line to ensure the correct diet and therapeutic diets are provided to the patients which includes food portioning, food tasting and documentation of the activities.

• Check the tray line timing and ensure the food trolleys are delivered on time.

• To answer phone calls from wards informing about any changes in diet ordered/ new admission and to record it/do amendment in the particular diet sheet/menu/request book.

• To do the summary for monthly meals served.

• To do the survey on Customer’s Satisfaction on every morning & afternoon.

• To check quality and quantity of received items upon receiving.

• To update stock record.

• To assist in all documentation and clerical task.

• To perform any duties, without hesitation as when required by the Management.

• To take reasonable care for the safety and health of him/herself and of other persons who may be affected by his acts or omission at work.

• To wear or use at all times any personal protective equipment or clothing provided by the Management for the purpose of preventing risks to his/her safety and health.

• Ensure all policies and procedures of Integrated Management System certification and Hospital Accreditation are adhered to.

• Participate actively in any other new service that introduced.

• Ensure the policies on patients and family’s rights are addressed at all times.

• To carry out other responsibilities or duties assigned from time to time by Head of Services.

• Ensure compliance to Patient Safety Goals are safety improvement measures recommended by World Alliance for Patient Safety (2008).

• Ensure to actively participate in 5S activities.

• Ensure adhere to SE KPJ Way.

• To comply with Baby Friendly Hospital Initiative (BFHI) policy.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum in SPM.

• Prefered to have cert/ diploma/ degree in food service or other related.

• One year working experience in food service/catering.

• Prefered to have working experience in F&B for at least 2 years in clerical work.

• Creative and innovative.

• Punctual and highly disciplined.

• Willing to learn and improve.

• Good interpersonal skills.

• Friendly and approachable.

• Capable to communicate all levels of staffs and patients in different languages particularly in Malay and English.
