Electrical Engineer - Semiconductor

Company Background:

We are seeking for a Electrical Engineer for our client, they are a leading multinational semiconductor platform solutions, process equipment and automation technologies provider, with their manufacturing site based in Senai, Johor. 

The Electrical Engineer is responsible for the research, design, and validation of electrical systems for high-precision industrial equipment. You will translate complex customer requirements into functional electrical architectures, selecting high-performance materials and components that meet rigorous manufacturing standards. 

This role requires frequent international travel, including the US, Europe, South Asia, and Southeast Asia regions to drive client servicing and account management.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Systems Design & Engineering Analysis: 

• Evaluate electrical systems, components, and applications by designing research programs; apply advanced knowledge of electrical theory and materials science to solve complex power and signal challenges.
• Study customer specifications to develop tailored electrical products, ensuring all designs are optimized for assembly methods and material efficiency.

2. Quality Assurance & Validation:

• Design and implement rigorous electrical testing methods to verify system capabilities and finished product quality.
• Author and execute standardized procedures for the installation, setup, and calibration of the electrical elements within a system.
• Prepare comprehensive product reports by collecting and analyzing performance data, identifying trends to drive continuous engineering improvement.

3. Documentation & "Copy Exact" Compliance:

• Prepare and manage high-level Electrical CAD schematics, detailed Wire Lists, and accurate Bills of Materials (BOM).
• Act as the subject matter expert (SME) for electrical engineering, providing technical information and answering complex requests from internal stakeholders and customers.
• Ensure all designs comply with international, federal, and state regulations, maintaining the company's reputation for safety and quality.
  

Job Requirements:

• Willing to travel abroad on frequent basis for client servicing purposes including US, Europe, South Asia and Southeast Asia regions
• Minimum Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
• Minimum 2-5 years of experience in electrical system design, ideally within the semiconductor, aerospace, or industrial automation sectors.
• Proficiency in Electrical CAD software and simulation tools.
• Deep familiarity with international safety and quality standards (e.g., ISO, UL, CE, SEMI S2).
• Hands-on experience with high-precision diagnostic equipment (Oscilloscopes, Spectrum Analyzers, Power Quality Analyzers).
