Job Descriptions:

1.               BASIC PURPOSE

State briefly, in one or two sentences the principal function of your position.  In general terms what are you expected to accomplish and how do you go about it? (covers the environment, location, level of creativity, boundaries)

1. Holds a valid certificate of Register Energy Manager Type 2 register with Suruhanjaya Tenaga.

2. To collect and analyze the data on energy of and energy consumption by the company

3. To ensure that the company implement the energy management system

   1. In ensuring energy efficiency in carrying out his activity, business or trade, an energy consumer to whom this Act applies shall develop an energy management system within the period as may be prescribed and implement the energy management system.
   
   
   2. To make sure the company develop and implement the energy management system in accordance with the guidelines.
   
   
   
   

4. To monitor the implementation of the energy management system by the company

5. To prepare the energy efficiency and conservation report for the company

a.    the description of the energy management system implemented by the company;

b.    the details on the total amount and purpose of consumption of energy and energy resources by the company

c.    the proposed measures for improving the energy efficiency and conservation by the company

d.    the details of any other energy efficiency and conservation measures which have already been implemented and measures that are yet to be implemented on the date of the energy efficiency and conservation report; and

e.    any other information required by the Commission as may be specified in the guidelines.

6. To ensure the accuracy of information provided in the energy efficiency and conservation report.

7. To advise the company on any other energy saving measures which may be implemented by the company and to monitor the implementation of such measures; and

8. To facilitate/enagage an register energy auditor to perform energy audit for the company and update the company of the said audit report.

9. To apply energy intensity label from the Commission for each buildings owned by the company. To display the energy intensity label at each building lobby.

10. Shall ensure that the energy intensity performance of the building comply with the energy efficiency rating as may be prescribed.

11. to carry out such other duties as may be determined by the Commission.

Qualifications:-

Degree in Electrical / Mechanical / Competent Engineer.
