Job Description

We are Sisco Jobs, a recruitment consultancy based in Trichy, Tamil Nadu. We are hiring on behalf of our client for the position of Engineering Coordinator in Malaysia. Our client is a reputed organization in the Engineering / Structural Steel Fabrication sector seeking skilled, motivated professionals. Based on the JD, the role involves reviewing design drawings, coordinating engineering activities, supporting detailing, and monitoring project progress.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and interpret engineering design drawings and specifications.
  
• Implement project specifications and industry standards for steel materials and welding.
  
• Prepare and submit RFIs, TQs, and RFAs for technical clarifications.
  
• Recommend engineering alternatives and connection details.
  
• Review structural models and shop drawings.
  
• Lead engineering coordination and detailing activities.
  
• Monitor drawing schedules and prepare weekly progress reports.
  
• Support departmental assignments as directed by management.
  

Required Skills

1. Structural Drawing Review – Ability to interpret engineering drawings.
   
2. Shop Drawing Coordination – Experience reviewing and coordinating fabrication drawings.
   
3. Steel Structure Knowledge – Understanding of steel materials and connections.
   
4. Welding & Surface Treatment Standards – Familiarity with project specifications.
   
5. Technical Documentation – RFI/TQ/RFA preparation and management.
   

Preferred Skills

• Tekla Structures knowledge
  
• AutoCAD proficiency
  
• Project planning and reporting experience
  

Work Experience Requirements

Education

• Minimum: Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field (Typical)
