Job Summary


Performs the design, planning, coordination, and implementation of manufacturing facilities projects within the Wafer Fab environment. Acts as project coordinator for renovation, modification, or extension of buildings, grounds, utilities, and services. Provides technical guidance to manufacturing, safety, and maintenance personnel related to construction, air conditioning, process piping, water, gases, and other mechanical systems. Leverages data, digital tools, and emerging AI‑enabled solutions to improve facilities reliability, efficiency, predictive maintenance, and compliance.



Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • System owner for Facilities Water System including Wastewater Treatment, Sewage and RODI.
  • Provide technical guidance to manufacturing, safety and project team on water system capabilities, concern and troubleshooting.
  • Act as project coordinator for replacement, upgrading, expansion or modification of buildings, utilities and services within the wafer fab related to water system.
  • Assist in major facilities projects through preparation of drawings, specifications, material requests and work orders.
  • Monitor and maintain capacity vs demand tracking for water system to ensure ability to meet future expansion needs. 
  • Responsible to maintain Water system in good working condition and execute improvement for system reliability improvement and cost optimization.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable local laws, regulations, procedures, and standards/codes including RBA, MS, DOSH, DOE, and internal controls.
  • Responsible for water system operation, maintenance and engineering.
  • Investigate facility issues reported by users, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Conduct engineering surveys and prepare technical reports related to facilities engineering projects.
  • Review and evaluate designs prepared by consulting engineers.
  • Budget forecast preparation for water system operation, maintenance and engineering project.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering.

Experience

  • Minimum 3-5 years experience in Facilities Operation, Maintenance or Engineering.
  • Experience in a semiconductor manufacturing/wafer fab facilities environment is an added advantage.
  • Familiar with water system operation, maintenance or engineering including City Water, RODI, Waste Water.


Knowledge, Skills & Competencies 

  • Certified Environmental Professional in Industrial Effluent Treatment System Operation (CEPIETSO PCP) or/and Certified Environmental Professional in Sewage Treatment Plant Operation (CEPSTPO) is an added advantage.
  • Strong knowledge of engineering methods, practices, and facilities systems.
  • Basic to working knowledge of AI concepts, data analytics, and digital tools as applied to facilities engineering (e.g. condition monitoring, anomaly detection, trend analysis).
  • Ability to interpret data outputs from AI‑enabled or automated systems to support engineering decisions.
  • Strong technical, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to prepare complex designs, specifications, contracts, and cost estimates including capital and maintenance expenditures.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a manufacturing environment.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Basic knowledge of mechanical system operation and engineering.
