Fabrication Engineer

We are Sisco Jobs, a recruitment consultancy based in Trichy, Tamil Nadu. We are hiring on behalf of our client for the position of Fabrication Engineer in Malaysia. Our client is a reputed organization in the Manufacturing / Engineering Fabrication sector seeking skilled, motivated professionals. Key Responsibilities

• Review and interpret fabrication drawings, revisions, and engineering memos.
  
• Coordinate material cutting, availability, and fabrication readiness.
  
• Develop and monitor fabrication schedules based on project priorities.
  
• Track fabrication progress and maintain project documentation records.
  
• Ensure compliance with QC, client specifications, inspections, and standards.
  
• Coordinate painting, galvanizing, and logistics activities.
  
• Manage delivery planning, packing lists, and dispatch documentation.
  
• Support project reporting and continuous improvement activities.
  

Required Skills

1. Fabrication Engineering – Ability to manage steel/fabrication production activities.
   
2. Engineering Drawings – Reading and interpreting GA, assembly, and part drawings.
   
3. Production Planning – Scheduling fabrication activities and resource allocation.
   
4. Quality Compliance – Knowledge of inspections, RFI, ITP, PQAP requirements.
   
5. Documentation Management – Maintaining DPPS, reports, and project records.

Work Experience Requirements

The job description does not specify experience requirements. Typical range for a Fabrication Engineer is 3–8 years in fabrication, structural steel, manufacturing, or heavy engineering environments. Experience coordinating production, quality, and project execution activities is preferred.

Education

• Minimum: Typical – Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related discipline
  
• Preferred: Master's Degree / Production Management Certification
  
• Additional: Welding, QA/QC, or Fabrication Certifications
