GENERAL MANAGER / BUSINESS UNIT HEAD (Based in KL)

• Lead the regional business strategy and deliver sustainable revenue and profit growth.
  
• Take full P&L accountability for the business, including revenue, margins, cash flow and working capital.
  
• Identify and develop new opportunities across infrastructure, utilities, industrial, telecommunications, renewable energy, rail, highways and property development.
  
• Lead major tenders, commercial negotiations, pricing strategy and strategic customer agreements.
  
• Build and maintain senior relationships with developers, contractors, consultants, utilities, government agencies, GLCs and other key stakeholders.
  

• Drive market penetration and expand the company's footprint across Peninsular Malaysia.
  
• Identify opportunities for new products, applications, strategic partnerships and capacity expansion.
  
• Strengthen the company's position as a preferred infrastructure and construction solutions provider.
  
• Develop and execute key account strategies for major customers and strategic projects.
  

• Partner closely with manufacturing, supply chain, procurement and logistics teams to ensure capacity, quality, cost and delivery objectives are achieved.
  
• Improve operational efficiency, customer service and overall business productivity.
  
• Ensure effective management of business risks, safety, quality and regulatory requirements.
  

• Build, lead and develop a high-performing commercial and operational team.
  Establish a strong culture of accountability, performance, customer focus and continuous improvement.
  Develop future leaders and strengthen the organisation's management capabilities.
  

Requirements

• At least 8 years in senior leadership / General Management roles with meaningful P&L responsibility.
  
• Strong track record in business development, market expansion, strategic account management and commercial negotiations.
  
• Proven ability to manage both commercial growth and operational performance.
  
• Strong network across contractors, developers, utilities, government / GLCs and infrastructure-related sectors.
  
• Experience within a listed company or MNC environment will be an advantage.
  
• Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, Marketing or a related discipline.
  
• Willingness to travel extensively across Peninsular Malaysia.
