Head of Agronomy (West Malaysia)

• Lead and develop the Agronomy, Agritech, Pruning and Field Audit teams.
  
• Drive agronomic strategies to improve plantation productivity, crop quality and overall operational performance.
  
• Analyse plantation data and recommend practical improvements based on field observations and industry best practices.
  
• Lead production forecasting, crop maturity assessments, harvest planning and productivity enhancement initiatives.
  
• Ensure compliance with industry agricultural standards and best practices.
  
• Champion agritech innovation, research projects and sustainability initiatives.
  
• Develop agronomy standards, field audit programmes, departmental budgets and performance KPIs.
  
• Prepare management reports, technical analyses and strategic recommendations.
  
• Partner closely with plantation operations and cross -functional teams to ensure alignment between technical standards and business objectives.
  
• Support continuous improvement initiatives across plantation operations.
  

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Agronomy, Agriculture, Crop Science, Agricultural Technology or a related discipline.
  
• Minimum 5 years' experience in agronomy, plantation management or agricultural operations, including leadership experience.
  
• Proven experience managing large -scale plantation operations (500+ acres preferred).
  
• Strong analytical and problem -solving capabilities with the ability to convert technical data into actionable recommendations.
  
• Excellent leadership, stakeholder management and communication skills.
  
• Able to work independently while fostering collaboration across teams.
  
• Comfortable working and residing in a remote plantation environment.
