Tax Compliance & Reporting
•Lead the preparation and review of provisional tax computations to support statutory audit requirements, as well as tax estimates and revisions for submission to the relevant tax authorities.
•Oversee the preparation and ongoing update of Transfer Pricing ("TP") documentation to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
•Review tax positions and provide advice and recommendations on tax implications across the organisation.
Tax Advisory & Planning
•Assist in formulating and executing tax planning strategies aligned with the Group’s business objectives.
•Keep abreast of the latest tax developments and proactively identify potential tax implications for the Education Group.
•Provide guidance on tax risk management and identify opportunities for tax optimisation.
Stakeholder & Regulatory Liaison
•Liaise with internal and external auditors, tax agents, regulatory authorities and other relevant parties to ensure compliance with audit, tax and statutory requirements.
•Build and maintain strong working relationships with tax authorities and external advisors.
•Undertake other duties and responsibilities as and when assigned by the company.
Requirements
Job Requirements:
•Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation or a related field; a professional qualification (ACCA, CPA, CTIM, CIMA or equivalent) is highly preferred.
•At least 10-12 years of relevant tax experience, with a strong background in corporate tax, transfer pricing and tax compliance, preferably within a public listed company, large corporate group or professional accounting firm.
•Proven experience in a managerial or leadership tax role, with a track record of managing tax audits, tax planning and regulatory liaison.
•In-depth knowledge of Malaysian tax legislation, transfer pricing regulations and statutory reporting requirements.
•Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex tax regulations and translate them into practical business recommendations.
•Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with auditors, tax authorities and senior management.
•Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to guide and develop a tax team.
•High level of integrity, attention to detail and commitment to continuous professional development.
•Proficient in Microsoft Office and relevant tax/accounting systems.
•Excellent command of English, both written and spoken.
