The impact you’ll make

Creates and develops design concepts and specifications that optimize the function, ergonomics, perceived value and appearance of physical hardware products and systems for product consumers and end users. Partners with internal and external marketing and design groups to research and analyze design trends and customer feedback for incorporation into product enhancements, new product design and overall design language and strategy. Produces and validates product design specifications and production requirements with insourced and outsourced manufacturing and engineering groups.

Responsibilities
1) Capacity Planning
   - Lead capacity modeling and long/medium term resource planning based on business outlook
   - Perform line balancing and optimization to ensure line efficiency
   - Gaps analysis between actual vs theoretical and gap closure
2) Productivity Improvement
   - Drive on labor hour and cycle time improvement project
   - Coordinate in tool relocation & re-layout activities
   - Collaborate with CFT team to achieve operations KPI's
   - Perform time study data collection and analysis, continuous improvement based on Lean concept

Preferred qualifications

• Minimum of 8 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering/Manufacturing Engineering/Mathmatics/Engineering; or 6 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD with 3 years experience; or equivalent experience.

  Microsoft Office, AutoCAD and System skills will be an advantage.

Lam offers a variety of work location models based on the needs of each role. Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories – On-site Flex and Virtual Flex. ‘On-site Flex’ you’ll work 3+ days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. ‘Virtual Flex’ you’ll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.
