Job Opportunities: Quality Excellence Specialist

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Quality Excellence Specialist to join us in CelcomDigi. This role is primarily involved in verifying/validating various plans, products and offerings that are to be launched into the market. The QE specialist has critical responsibility in ensuring high-quality delivery of solutions/products tested, in a time-sensitive test environment. You are expected to work closely with business analysts, product owners and project leads in building excellent test coverage and defect detection.

Responsibilities

• 
  
  Execute User Acceptance Test in pre-production and production environments to ensure defects and issues are identified, validated, and mitigated prior to actual customer transactions
  
  


• 
  
  Develop comprehensive test cases, procedures, and scripts to verify/validate product/releases
  
  


• 
  
  Identify, analyse, clearly document, and track bugs/defects all the way to resolution status
  
  


• 
  
  Generate timely and detailed daily test reports, including live results, analysis, risks and dependencies for assigned releases.
  
  


• 
  
  Ensure readiness of test environment, test device and test data prior to test execution
  
  


• 
  
  Assist senior QAs for bug/incident analysis to identify improvement in test coverage/prioritization
  
  


• 
  
  Ensure traceability of test cases to bug/defects and requirements
  
  


• 
  
  Adopt continuous improvement thinking in all QA aspects and collaborate with senior QAs for implementation
  
  

Requirements

• Experience
  

   Develop test cases from test scenarios

  
   Familiar with activities within software testing life cycle
  
  
  

   Test execution and daily test reporting

  
  
  
   Supporting development/product team for troubleshooting/investigation


• 
  

  Skills

  
  

         Basic knowledge of telecommunication industry

         Defect logging and tracking up to resolution, retest and closure

         Good attention to details for bug detection

         High curiosity to learn products and integrated systems

         Good written an verbal communication

• Education

         Degree in Engineering, IT or related fields

         Relevant certifications (ISTQB,QAI, etc)

• Years of experience

         At least 2-4 years working experience in testing

         Experience in using test management tooland automation is a plus
