Our technology starts with you.\n\nYOUR ROLE \n\nMaintenance Engineer is responsible for ensuring high equipment availability, safe operation, and reliable performance of back-end semiconductor production equipment (FOL Assy and EOL Assy, Die Attach, Wire Bond, Mold, Crop). The role coordinate corrective and preventive maintenance, leads root-cause analysis for repeat failures, coordinates vendor repairs and upgrades, and works with production and process engineering to improve equipment reliability and yield.\n\nKey responsibilities\n\n * Perform troubleshooting, diagnosis and repair of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic/hydraulic and control systems for production equipment.\n * Execute preventive maintenance (PM) schedules and predictive maintenance activities to minimize unplanned downtime.\n * Rapidly respond to equipment breakdowns, lead equipment recovery activities and document repair actions and parts used.\n * Interface with equipment vendors for escalations, spares, onsite repairs, retrofits and upgrades; manage service calls and follow up until closure.\n * Support equipment installation, qualification, changeovers and new machine commissioning during production ramps.\n * Perform root cause analysis (RCA) for recurring failures, implement corrective \u0026 preventive actions (CAPA) and track reliability KPIs (MTBF, MTTR, OEE).\n * Collaborate with Production, Process, Quality and Engineering teams to optimize equipment/process interface and ensure product yield and quality goals.\n * Maintain accurate maintenance records, BOM for critical spares, and contribute to continuous improvement and Lean initiatives.\n * Adhere strictly to cleanroom protocols, EHS and safety procedures applicable to semiconductor back-end operations.\n\n\n\n \nYOUR SKILLS \u0026 EXPERIENCES\n\n * Bachelor\u2019s degree in mechanical / electrical / Mechatronics / Electronics / Industrial Engineering or equivalent.\n * 2\u20135 years (or more depending on level) hands-on maintenance experience in semiconductor back-end, electronics manufacturing, or similar high-mix automated production environment.\n * Strong skills in mechanical \u0026 electrical troubleshooting, PLCs, servo systems, pneumatics, sensors, and motion control.\n * Experience with Front of line and End of Line assembly equipment is an advantage.\n * Ability to read electrical/mechanical drawings, use multimeter/oscilloscope and perform component-level fault isolation.\n * Familiarity with preventive maintenance systems, CMMS and spare parts management.\n\n\n\nDesired skills \u0026 attributes\n\n * Strong analytical mindset and structured RCA skills (5-Why, fishbone).\n * Good communication skills; able to work cross-functionally and liaise with vendors.\n * Willingness to work in on-call support for breakdowns. (common in 24/7 production facilities)\n * Self-starter who documents work thoroughly and drives continuous improvement.\n\n\n\nTypical reporting \u0026 work conditions\n\n * Reports to: Head of department / Operation Manager.\n * Work environment: Cleanroom / Class-controlled areas \u2014 requires compliance to gowning and contamination control procedures; exposure to automated equipment, moving parts and electrical systems. \n * Technicians and operators will report to this maintenance engineer.
