Position Summary


Execute purchasing and materials management activities by planning, monitoring and supplying materials and services required to support Ground Support Equipment (GSE) maintenance at KLIA and domestic line stations.


Key Accountabilities



  1. Ensure sufficient availability of spares and services; initiate purchases through Purchase Requisitions (PRs) and complete Goods Receipt Notes (GRNs) to support timely turnaround of GSE and related services at KLIA and domestic stations.

  2. Plan, review and manage stock levels for fast-moving and must-stock GSE items based on recommended spare-parts listings for specialized equipment.

  3. Monitor Discrepancy Reports (DRs) with the workshop and Group Procurement, and coordinate replacement of items affected by variance or damage.

  4. Prepare monthly fire-extinguisher reports and liaise with the workshop and Group Procurement for refilling or replacement when required.

  5. Update and revise inventory levels for purchasing purposes; review non-moving and movement stock listings, and identify non-moving, redundant or surplus GSE spares.

  6. Maintain high standards of quality, safety, security, health and environmental compliance at all times.

  7. Perform other duties or assignments as directed by the superior from time to time.

  9. Comply with applicable workplace health and safety obligations and AeroDarat policies and procedures.

  10. Follow required procedures to maintain safe and secure airside operations.

  11. Fulfil Aviation Safety Management System (SMS) responsibilities under relevant regulations and SOPs.

  12. Complete required AeroDarat workplace health, safety and security induction and training.

  13. Identify, report and control workplace risks.

  15. Use team meetings to share information, identify procedural, safety and security issues, and support continuous improvement.

  16. Report all incidents and accidents immediately to the direct superior.


Qualifications and Years of Experience



  • SPM qualification.

  • Zero to two years of working experience in a ground-equipment-related area.

  • Attendance at all regulatory, mandatory and functional training required under the AeroDarat


Skills & Knowledge



  1. Good written and spoken command of English and Bahasa Malaysia.

  2. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and general computer literacy.

  3. Working awareness of materials purchasing, inventory control and GSE maintenance support processes.

  4. Understanding of workplace health, safety, security, Aviation SMS and relevant SOP requirements.


Key Challenges



  1. Maintaining adequate stocks of critical GSE spares while identifying and controlling non-moving, redundant or surplus inventory.

  2. Coordinating promptly with workshops and Group Procurement to resolve discrepancies, replace damaged items and avoid maintenance delays.

  3. Balancing purchasing lead times and documentation requirements with the need for timely GSE turnaround across KLIA and domestic stations.

  4. Sustaining strict safety, security, health and environmental compliance within an airside operating environment.
