What You Will Be Doing
- Read and interpret agent bank notices, settlement documents, credit documents.
- Demonstrate general understanding of governing deal documents, i.e., Indentures, loan agreements, prospectus.
- Generate and review various types of client reporting.
- Demonstrate general understanding of data mapping and reconciliation resolution.
- Manage transactions ensuring all notifications are actioned and communicated accordingly.
Other Key Tasks & Responsibilities May Include:
- Settle trades, review trade bookings.
- Process daily reconciliation of cash and loan trade transactions facilitated by Siepe’s financial technology platform.
- Research discrepancies including referencing source documentation and external databases.
- Review and analyse loan data pulls and reports.
- Data mapping and reconciliation resolution.
- Update and maintain asset data accuracy and positions across client portfolios.
- Build borrowing base and waterfall compliance models and reports.
- Effective communication with other teams towards resolving data maintenance and reconciliation issues.
- Facilitate feedback on systems development and improving workflow processes.
- Alignment and adherence to SOC 2 compliance and risk management policies and practices.
- Assist in other tasks as directed, including involvement in mini projects e.g. financial data extraction and regulated reporting, and onboarding new deals.
- This role involves working with data including updating and reconciling data but please note that this is not a 'data analyst' role.
What You Will Bring
- Bachelor’s degree required. Degrees in Accounting, Finance/Banking, Business Administration, Economics, Mathematics, or Actuarial Science are preferred; other disciplines and qualifications may also be considered.
- Fresh and recent graduates are encouraged to apply. Candidates must have a minimum CGPA of 3.1 (or equivalent) and have graduated or be graduating within the next two months.
- No more than two years of total professional work experience required.
- Prior financial services experience is not required, though up to two years of relevant industry experience (e.g., loan operations or credit markets) is a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including intermediate Excel skills.
- Understanding of financial spreadsheets preferred.
- Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking abilities with the capacity to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
- Ability to manage high volumes of data and reports with strong attention to detail in a deadline-driven environment.
- Demonstrated ownership, accuracy, and timeliness in completing responsibilities while consistently meeting or exceeding expectations.
- Focused on deliverables and deadlines with a methodological, process-driven approach to work.
