Operator, Packaging II

Objective of the Position

• Strictly comply with company regulations on environmental protection, occupational health and safety (EHS).


• Working on alternate shifts carrying out the jobs assigned by the Production Supervisor or Foreman according to work instructions, in safe manner and according to ISO related systems subscribed by the company.


• Follow the instructions of the production supervisor and report abnormal situations.

Main Areas of Responsibilities and Key Activities

EHS

• Strictly comply with and implement the company's EHS policies and ISO 14001 certification requirements.


• Strictly follow SOPs regarding safety, environment, and occupational health in operations.


• Take appropriate measures for any safety, environmental, or occupational health incidents and report to the Production Supervisor.


• Correctly wear and use PPE as required.


• Carry out emergency actions as required by procedures during emergency response events.

Operation

• Ensure the required packaging material for each product run is sufficient; empty bags, labels, pallets and paper tray.


• Ensure all packaging materials are in good condition, clean and not contaminated.


• Conduct briefing for packaging personnel according to packaging work requirement.


• Monitor individual label and master label system for smooth operation. Escalate to superior for any abnormalities.


• Check and update stock levels for materials, tools and PPE into the record on weekly basis.


• Perform necessary tasks to start up the packaging equipment for Compounding process such Auto Packaging, Big Bag Station, Semi Auto Sealing Machine, including Fiber Optic Cable, FOC packaging.


• Strictly follow process sheets and SOPs, check quality control points during production, and compliance with quality requirements.


• Perform routine production activities for smooth operations including process troubleshooting.


• Report any equipment abnormalities to Production Supervisor for TSS troubleshooting.


• Perform verification of line flushing & cleaning for product changeover and ensure no risk on quality of product. Drained material shall be labelled and returned according to requirement.


• Monitor process conditions according to process log sheets and quality requirements.


• To support packaging with implementation audit Integrated Management System (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001) and IATF 16949 Quality Management System for the automotive industry.


• Ensure good housekeeping and proper handovers among shift team members.


• Other packaging-related tasks assigned by Production Supervisor.

Job Requirements

• 
  
  At least SPM certificate, Certificate in Engineering, or equivalent
  
  


• 
  
  Minimum 2–5 years of experience in chemical-based manufacturing plants
  
  


• 
  
  Must possess a valid Forklift Driving License
  
  


• 
  
  Familiar with 5S system (My Area & My Machine requirements)
  
  


• 
  
  Basic knowledge of ISO standards (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, IATF 16949, ISO 45001)
  
  


• Basic knowledge on ISO 9001, ISO 14001, IATF 16949 and ISO 45001 requirements.
