Production Manager

1.0 RESPONSIBILITIES

1.1 Set departmental objectives for rejection reduction, productivity improvement, and machine utilization in alignment with Manufacturing Manager's goals.

1.2 Approve production schedules in coordination with Planner to meet customer delivery requirements.

1.3 Establish and track departmental quality objectives with action plans.

1.4 Lead process stabilization initiatives in collaboration with Quality & Engineering departments.

1.5 Establish and maintain Production Risk Assessment evaluations.

1.6 Make final decisions on abnormal production situations and authorize corrective actions.

1.7 Enforce 5S standards and safety compliance across the production floor.

1.8 Coordinate with Maintenance department on preventive maintenance planning and schedules.

1.9 Identify training needs for production staff and approve training plans.

1.10 Lead new/modified model sample preparation with support from Engineering.

1.11 Assist the Manufacturing Manager in maintaining ISO 9001:2015 compliance.

1.12 Delegate daily execution tasks to the Production Assistant Manager.

1.13 Review reports from Assistant Manager and escalate complex issues to Manufacturing Manager.

1.14 Perform other duties as assigned by the Manufacturing Manager.

2.0 AUTHORITIES

2.1 Stop production across the department when quality or safety is at risk.

2.2 Recommend department structuring changes to Manufacturing Manager.

2.3 Allocate daily manpower within approved shift plans via Assistant Manager.

4.0 JOB COMPETENCY

4.1 Diploma or minimum 8 years of relevant working experience with 5 years supervisory role.

4.2 Able to interpret mechanical drawings (ISO 2768 / ASME Y14.5 basics).

4.3 Proficient with standard measuring instruments.

4.4 Ability to troubleshoot basic machine breakdowns.

4.5 Strong production planning and scheduling ability..

4.6 High sense of responsibility and ownership.

4.7 Excellent time management.

4.8 Logical and systematic problem-solving approach.
