Production Manager (Home Textile, Perak)

Company Overview

Our client is an established, market -leading manufacturer and a premier regional brand owner specializing in high -volume home textiles, premium bedding collections, and coordinated home furnishing accessories. Utilizing state -of -the -art cutting, high -speed automated sewing, and precision fabric -processing technology, they supply major retail channels and B2B clients across Southeast Asia. To drive their plant's operational efficiency, cost containment, and capacity scaling, they are seeking an organized, results -oriented Production Manager.

Mission

The Production Manager holds full operational accountability for directing shopfloor execution across the textile manufacturing and assembly lines. This role is responsible for translating regional demand plans into weekly production schedules, managing manufacturing budgets, and optimizing raw material yield. By leading a large team of shift supervisors, operators, and quality inspectors, you will drive a high -accountability culture focused on process improvement, machine reliability, and rigorous quality standards.

Key Responsibilities & Activities

1. Production Planning, Budgeting & Cost Containment

• Workflow Optimization: Organize, schedule, and optimize daily production workflows across multiple processing, cutting, sewing, and packaging departments to hit tight delivery deadlines.
  

• Financial Management: Formulate detailed cost estimations, prepare operational budgets, and implement robust cost -containment principles to reduce scrap and maximize material yields.
  

• Resource Optimization: Determine and allocate the daily necessary resources, including raw fabrics, accessories, packaging, and workforce capacity.
  

2. Shopfloor Supervision & Team Performance

• Active Leadership: Supervise, evaluate, and mentor production personnel, including shift leaders, line operators, and quality inspectors, promoting a collaborative and high -performance culture.
  

• Capability Building: Act as a motivator on the floor, resolving personnel issues, managing absenteeism, and establishing clear performance evaluation criteria.
  

• EHS Compliance: Maintain a safe, clean, and healthy working environment, strictly enforcing industrial safety precautions and standard operating protocols.
  

3. Quality Assurance & Asset Management

• Quality Standards: Partner closely with Quality Control teams to ensure finished home furnishing and textile products consistently meet internal specifications and customer expectations.
  

• Maintenance & Procurement: Oversee and approve essential machinery maintenance work, tooling requirements, and equipment procurement to minimize unplanned line downtime.
  

• Operational Reporting: Prepare and present regular production metrics, OEE trackers, and waste reports to upper management, proposing data -driven adjustments as needed.
  

4. Continuous Improvement & Stakeholder Alignment

• Lean Implementation: Initiate and champion Lean manufacturing practices, structured 5S systems, and continuous improvement (CI) projects to eliminate process waste.
  

• Customer Focus: Foster a customer -centric operational mindset, ensuring packaging and finish specifications match strict brand guidelines.
  

Requirements

Education & Technical Mastery

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Textile Technology, Materials Science, or a related discipline.
  

• Technical Domain Expertise: Deep technical knowledge of high -volume textile manufacturing processes is highly preferred. Experience with automated cutting systems, high -speed industrial sewing operations, fabric processing, or assembly -line home furnishing manufacturing is highly advantageous.
  

• Software Literacy: Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and experienced with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) databases.
  

Experience & Key Attributes

• Professional Background: Minimum of 5+ years of active supervisory or managerial experience leading production operations within a fast -paced, high -volume manufacturing environment.
  

• Analytical Skills: Strong data -driven decision -making, root -cause analysis, and strategic problem -solving capabilities under tight timelines.
  

• Communication & Synergy: Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the capability to confidently report to executive directors while positively influencing shopfloor shift operators.
