Production Supervisor

Key Responsibilities:

1. Supervise Daily Production Operations

• Oversee and coordinate daily production activities to ensure smooth, safe, and efficient operations in accordance with production plans, schedules, and company standards.

2. Ensure Compliance with Standard Operating Procedures

• Ensure all production staff operate strictly according to the Standard Operating Procedures for ingredient handling, batch preparation, position management, workplace safety, and hygiene requirements.

3. Manpower & Shift Coordination

• Plan, arrange, and monitor manpower allocation during shifts to ensure sufficient workforce coverage and effective production flow. Lead shift handover meetings and ensure all key updates, issues, and pending actions are properly communicated.

4. Raw Material Handling & Verification

• Supervise the collection, checking, and verification of raw materials to ensure the correct quantity, quality, labeling, and documentation before production use.

5. Batch Preparation & Process Monitoring

• Monitor and guide the team in preparing production batches according to approved formulas, process requirements, and quality standards. Ensure ingredient measurements, mixing processes, and batch execution are accurate and completed within the required timeline.

6. Production Data Recording & Documentation

• Ensure all production records, batch quantities, material usage, process parameters, and related data are accurately and promptly recorded in accordance with operational and audit requirements.

7. Quality Control & IPC Sample Management

• Coordinate the collection of in-process control samples and ensure timely submission to the Quality Control laboratory. Follow up on test results and take necessary corrective actions in coordination with the team leader, QC, or Production Manager.

8. Monitor Production Issues & Process Deviations

• Identify, report, and escalate production abnormalities, process deviations, material issues, equipment problems, or quality concerns. Support investigation and implementation of corrective and preventive actions.

9. Safety, Hygiene & Housekeeping Compliance

• Ensure the production area is maintained in a clean, hygienic, and safe condition at all times. Monitor cleaning activities, sanitation zones, and housekeeping practices to comply with company, food safety, and workplace safety standards.

10. Team Guidance & Operational Discipline

• Guide, train, and monitor production operators to ensure proper work discipline, SOP compliance, safety awareness, and consistent work performance.

11. Cross-Functional Coordination

• Work closely with Quality Control, Warehouse, Maintenance, and Production Planning teams to ensure smooth material flow, timely production output, quality compliance, and issue resolution.

12. Compliance with Company Policies

• Ensure all production activities and team members comply with company policies, safety procedures, labor regulations, and operational standards.

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years of experience in a production or factory environment, preferably in the food, chemical, pharmaceutical, or manufacturing industry.
• Prior experience in a supervisory, team leader, or shift leader role will be an added advantage.
• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Engineering, Food Science, Chemistry, Manufacturing, or a related technical field.
• Strong knowledge of batch preparation, raw material handling, production processes, and shift-based manufacturing operations.
• Familiar with SOP compliance, production documentation, quality standards, workplace safety, hygiene, and housekeeping requirements.
• Hands-on experience in raw material verification, batch processing, IPC sample collection, and production data recording.
• Able to supervise, guide, and coordinate production operators to ensure smooth daily operations.
• Good problem-solving skills and able to handle production issues, process deviations, and operational abnormalities.
• Able to communicate effectively with internal teams including QC, Warehouse, Maintenance, and Production Planning.
