JOB SUMMARY
It is a three-shift manufacturing operation. We are looking for experienced Production Supervisors to lead one of our production shifts, ensuring safe, efficient and on-time manufacturing while developing a disciplined, motivated and high-performing team.
This is a people-focused leadership role. The Production Supervisor is responsible for achieving shift performance through effective planning, organisation and team leadership, while working closely with Engineering, Quality and other support departments. Technical support for processes, SOPs and equipment is provided by the Engineering Department.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1) Production & Operations
- Lead and manage all production activities during the assigned shift.
- Ensure production targets, quality standards and delivery schedules are achieved.
- Plan and allocate manpower effectively across workstations.
- Monitor productivity and take corrective action when required.
- Ensure smooth shift handovers and accurate production reporting.
2) Leadership & People Management
- Lead approximately 30 production operators with the support of 2–3 Team Leads.
- Coach, motivate and develop Team Leads and operators.
- Maintain discipline and address issues relating to attendance, lateness, - performance, misconduct, bullying and workplace behaviour in accordance with company policies.
- Foster a positive, respectful and accountable team culture.
3) Safety & Quality
- Ensure compliance with all safety procedures, SOPs and quality standards.
- Promote good housekeeping and 5S practices.
- Escalate safety, quality or operational concerns promptly.
4) Communication & Continuous Improvement
- Maintain clear communication between Production, Engineering, Quality, - Warehouse and Sales Operations.
- Support implementation of process improvements and new equipment introduced by Engineering.
- Identify opportunities to improve productivity, efficiency and team performance.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Diploma or bachelor's degree in manufacturing, Engineering, Operations Management or a related discipline is preferred.
- Minimum 3 years' experience supervising a production shift in a manufacturing environment.
- Proven experience leading production teams of 20 or more employees.
- Strong leadership, organisational and decision-making skills.
- Confident in handling employee discipline and performance management.
- Good communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Able to work rotating shifts.
