Professional Medical Specialist (Central)

Drive the growth of innovative cardiometabolic treatments across Central Malaysia – building strong relationships with healthcare professionals and making a tangible difference in patients' lives every day.

Your new role

As a Professional Medical Specialist, you will have full responsibility and accountability for your assigned region, driving market share growth through strong customer relationships and deep product knowledge. You will engage healthcare professionals with information on our products, devices and indications, and play an active role in regional meetings and national conferences.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Promoting and selling Novo Nordisk's range of cardiometabolic products to achieve annual sales targets, while conducting territory business planning and maintaining up-to-date customer records and call history


• Planning and executing medical activities, exhibitions, symposia and congresses to support product promotion, and meeting deadlines for sales reports, forecasts and related documentation


• Negotiating with administrators and payers to secure sufficient funding for Novo Nordisk products, leveraging strong product knowledge across the portfolio


• Collaborating with colleagues across Marketing, Market Access and Medical & Regulatory to maximise sales while adhering to business ethics standards and internal procedures


• Reporting adverse events and customer complaints according to established procedures, and achieving sales effectiveness KPI targets set by the company

Your new department

Within the Malaysia affiliate, you'll be part of the Cardiometabolic sales team focused on the GP Sector in Central. Our sales teams operate with a performance-driven mindset whilst maintaining strong ethical standards, working collaboratively across functions to ensure our innovative treatments reach the healthcare professionals and patients who need them most.

Your skills & qualifications

We're looking for a driven sales professional who thrives in building strong customer relationships and delivering results in a dynamic environment.

You'll bring with you:

• At least 2 years of field sales experience in the Malaysia pharmaceutical market, specifically covering the GP Sector in Central.


• A university degree in any science, business, marketing or equivalent discipline


• A self-starter mindset – highly engaged, positive, dynamic and results-driven with excellent networking abilities and the willingness to quickly adapt to new situations


• A demonstrated track record of strong sales performance and solid medical knowledge, with willingness to travel


• Fluency in both English and Bahasa Malaysia (verbal and written)
