Senior Analyst, Standing Settlement Instructions (SSI)

What is the opportunity?

The role is part of European Operations that supports pre and post trade deal processing for RBC Capital Markets. The incumbant is responsible for the accurate set-up, amendment and maintenance of the client’s Standard Settlement Instructions (SSI’s).  The functions are to be performed within regulatory guidelines and market best practice principles. A high standard of quality is required at all times in order to reduce associated market / dealing  and operational risk.

Working Hours: 3.00pm-12.00am or 4.00pm - 1.00am @Daylight saving

What will you do?

• To ensure Statndard Settlement instructions are loaded/verified in a timely and accurate manner for all business lines supported.
• Investigate / follow up of all exception reports
• To continue to develop product / market knowledge.
• To escalate any processing issues to the Team Manager or above in a timely manner.
• To understand and know how to locate central RBC policies. 
• To support colleagues during busy periods by sharing workloads as applicable.
• To provide services to internal clients by ensuring their queries are responded to within agreed timeframes
• To adhere to mandatory training requirements in Talentlink.

What do you need to succeed?

Must have

• Basic knowledge of payment message SWIFT Standards  
• Previous experience of setting up Standard Settlement Instruction (SSIs) for products such as Foreign Exchange and Money Market preferred but not essential.
• Proven experience of working in Operations within a Financial Services Institution.
• Basic understanding of operational risks, impacts and mitigating controls.

• Effective Communicator, both verbal and written
• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
• Able to work under pressure against unmovable deadlines
