Senior Executive - Land Public Transport

Job Description

POSITION GENERAL SUMMARY

Required to lead operations of Land Public Transport Unit including planning and execution of strategic improvement initiatives for the benefit of the company.

ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTIONS

Planning

• Plan, organize and manage the work of subordinate staff to ensure that the work is accomplished in a manner consistent with organizational requirements.


• Serve as the contact person for all workers within assigned territories.


• Develop criteria, application instructions, procedural manuals, and contracts for public transportation programs.


• Conduct studies and analyses including cooperation with government agencies to determine improvement opportunities


• Analyse expenditures and other financial information in order to develop plans, policies, and budgets for increasing profits and improving services.

Execution

• Implement and schedule policy changes.


• Collaborate with other unit heads in order to formulate and implement policies, procedures, goals, and objectives.


• Direct and coordinate, through subordinates, all public transportation operational activities at KL International Airport


• Direct and monitor staff performing daily and ad-hoc tasks


• Prepare management recommendations


• Lead/direct procurement processes

Control & Monitoring

• Promote safe work activities


• Monitor contract fulfilment


• Monitor operations to ensure that staff members comply with administrative policies and procedures, safety rules, union contracts, and government regulations.


• Monitor spending to ensure that expenses are consistent with approved budgets.

Skills

• Must have a good understanding and experience of land public transport operations.


• Proficient communication skills and networking strategy.


• Good problem solving skills.


• Outstanding leadership skills.

Education

• Degree in Transportion planning, urban planning or related.


• Knowledgable of taxi, ehailing, terminal bus, or ground transportation operations


• Master Degree is an added advantage

Relevant Industries

• Degree holder with minimum 3 years relevant working experience in related fields.
