Senior Flow Assurance Engineer

We are now looking for a Senior Flow Assurance Engineer who wants to strengthen our Early Engagement team in Kuala Lumpur and be a part of the exciting journey that has just started.

In this role, you will:

• Develop the flow assurance design basis for projects
• Perform steady-state and dynamic flow assurance simulations using industry-standard software to evaluate pipe sizing, thermal performance, flow regimes, slugging, and chemical injection requirements
• Analyze operational scenarios including start-up, shutdown, and pigging, and prepare technical reports supporting design decisions
• Develop operating strategies and philosophy documents addressing flow assurance risks such as hydrates, paraffins, asphaltenes, oil gelling, corrosion, erosion, solids deposition, scaling, and emulsions
• Prepare field operating procedures, including flow assurance considerations, valve testing, field startup and shutdown sequences and pigging
• Participate and provide input into Design Reviews and Technical Safety Workshops (i.e. HAZOP and HAZID)
• Support the development of junior flow assurance engineers through training and knowledge sharing
• Interface and collaborate with clients and contractor organizations on technical matters
• Contribute to research activities and the development of internal tools, software, and engineering workflows
• Maintain and continuously develop professional competency through training and project experience
• Participate actively in the SLB Flow Assurance technical community

• Have a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Petroleum, or Chemical Engineering
• Have more than 7 years of project experience in a subsea production system environment, of which a minimum of 5 are related to Flow Assurance
• Have experience from both shallow and deep-water operations with feasibility, conceptual, FEED and detailed flow assurance engineering of both single and multi-phase systems.
• Have Multiphase fluid flow simulation experience using software such as Pipesim/Prosper and OLGA, with fundamental knowledge of fluids including organic and inorganic solids deposition and PVT
• Can write professional technical reports and prepare effective presentations
• Have proven, strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
• Demonstrate a proactive, motivated, and professional attitude, with a strong work ethic, commitment to quality, and continuous improvement
