Penerangan Pekerjaan - Senior Legal Lead

Commercial contracts

• Prepare, vet and negotiate high-value agreements, including telecom equipment supply contracts,

master service agreements, turnkey subcontractor agreements and NDAs.

• Assess major tender submissions for exposure on liability, indemnities, liquidated damages and

warranties.

Regulatory and corporate compliance

• Keep the business compliant with MCMC regulations, company law and the PDPA.

• Maintain company secretarial records, handle local licensing, and uphold corporate governance

standards.

Disputes and external counsel

• Resolve commercial disputes before they reach litigation, including contractor claims and debt

recovery.

• Work with outside Malaysian law firms to obtain specialist opinions and manage court or dispute

proceedings.

Requirements

LL.B. from a reputable university. Admission as an Advocate & Solicitor in Malaysia is strongly preferred.
About 10 years in corporate and commercial legal work. Exposure to ICT, telecom or large infrastructure projects is an advantage.
Strong command of Malaysian contract law, procurement rules, MCMC guidelines and commercial dispute resolution.
Fluent in legal English and Mandarin, able to review and draft bilingual contracts independently.
