Senior Team Member, Margin Evaluation

About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Team Member, Margin Evaluation to join our team at RHB Banking Group. In this role, you will be responsible for performing credit assessment and analysis for share margin financing applications, requests for variation of terms and conditions, as well as periodic reviews. You will work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure sound credit evaluation, policy compliance, operational efficiency, and effective risk management to safeguard the Bank’s interests at all times.

What you will be doing

• Perform credit assessment and analysis for share margin financing new applications, requests for variation of terms and conditions, and periodic reviews

• Handle cases requiring detailed analysis, including credit proposals requiring committee approvals, single counter financing, grouped clients, and accounts requiring special attention due to deterioration in credit quality

• Assess and assign margin applications, requests, and reviews to team members to ensure timely processing and adherence to internal and external policies and guidelines

• Ensure all information contained in credit proposals is accurate, complete, and compliant with regulatory requirements

• Handle enquiries and communications relating to share margin financing from internal and external stakeholders

• Plan and execute system enhancements to improve operational efficiency and minimize oversights in credit analysis processes

• Review and formulate margin financing policies, guidelines, and procedures

• Supervise, guide, and develop team members’ competencies and performance

• Prepare and review reports for Management approval

• Undertake any other assignments as directed by Management to ensure smooth departmental operations

• Relevant working experience in credit evaluation, margin financing, banking, or related financial services functions

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail

• Good planning, organizational, and leadership capabilities

• Sound understanding of credit assessment and risk management principles

• Familiarity with margin financing policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements

• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

• Driven, proactive, and committed to delivering high-quality work within deadlines

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
