Structural Detailer

Job Description

We are Sisco Jobs, a recruitment consultancy based in Trichy, Tamil Nadu. We are hiring on behalf of our client for the position of Structural Detailer in Malaysia. Key Responsibilities

• Review fabrication requirements from engineering drawings and specifications.
  
• Prepare General Arrangement (GA) drawings and shop drawings.
  
• Generate 2D/3D steel structure models using detailing software.
  
• Coordinate connection details and structural layouts with engineering teams.
  
• Review drawings for accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
  
• Monitor submittals, approvals, and fabrication release schedules.
  
• Liaise with architects, engineers, and subcontract fabricators.
  
• Provide technical clarifications and resolve fabrication issues.
  

Required Skills

1. AutoCAD / ProgeCAD drafting and detailing expertise.
   
2. TEKLA Structures modeling and detailing.
   
3. Steel structure shop drawing preparation.
   
4. Engineering drawing interpretation and coordination.
   
5. Fabrication and structural connection detailing knowledge.
   

Preferred Skills

• STRUCAD experience.
  
• Knowledge of welding and surface treatment specifications.
  
• Project monitoring and quality control exposure.
  

Work Experience Requirements

Experience in structural steel detailing, fabrication drawings, and engineering coordination is preferred. Candidates should have hands -on exposure to steel structure projects and detailing software. Typical range: 2–5 years in structural steel detailing.

Education

• Minimum: Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Civil, Structural, or Mechanical Engineering (Typical)
  
• Preferred: Structural Engineering specialization
  
• Additional: TEKLA Certification (Preferred)
