Key Responsibilities



  • Demonstrate strong technical expertise in tax compliance reporting, including the preparation and review of tax filings, and draft high-quality tax advisory deliverables. Utilize tax software proficiently to prepare, process, and review tax returns.

  • Stay current with important technical updates and proactively suggest solutions to address emerging tax compliance issues for employers and expatriates.

  • Manage compliance and reporting processes, oversee tax management activities, and conduct thorough risk and control assessments. Identify opportunities to enhance engagement processes and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Research and consultation on various tax matters. Assist in the preparation of comprehensive tax advisory reports and related client deliverables.

  • Address and resolve employer and expatriate concerns by offering timely guidance on tax compliance and advisory topics. Exhibit strong communication skills, with the ability to influence and persuade clients and stakeholders effectively.

  • Serve as a key liaison with employers and individual expatriates to address compliance tax reporting and advisory matters through in-person meetings, phone calls, and emails.

  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with officers from the Inland Revenue Board and other relevant government agencies as needed.

  • Involve in Public Speaking such as providing internal training, speak at client seminars/events.

  • Perform additional support tasks as required by the team to ensure successful project delivery and client satisfaction.

Requirements



  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or business related field. Candidates with recognized professional certification such as ACCA will also be considered.

  • Possess at least 5 years’ experience in handling personal income tax, preferably gained from other major accounting firms or other related organizations.

  • Excellent verbal and written English and Bahasa Malaysia.

  • A team player and versatile to work with people of diverse background and experience.

  • Mature in handling client issues and possess good interpersonal skill.

  • Able to work under tight deadlines and to prioritize and organize workload.
