Work you’ll do

Core Analytics & Reporting Responsibilities
•    Design, develop, and support reporting and analytics solutions using SAP Datasphere and SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC).
•    Build and maintain data models in SAP Datasphere, including facts, dimensions, hierarchies, semantic models, analytic models, and data flows / replication structures where applicable.
•    Develop stories, dashboards, and visualizations in SAP Analytics Cloud based on business requirements.
•    Where required, build advanced stories / analytic applications in SAC using scripting and interactive design features.
•    Integrate SAP Datasphere with SAP Analytics Cloud using appropriate connection methods and ensure optimized performance, usability, and governed consumption.
•    Work with business stakeholders to gather, translate, and document analytics and reporting requirements.
•    Support connectivity topics involving SAP Cloud Connector where on-premise systems are part of the reporting architecture.
•    Ensure solution quality across performance, semantic consistency, authorization, and reporting usability.
•    Mentor and groom junior consultants / analysts and contribute to knowledge sharing within the team.

Recommended / Additional BTP Application Responsibilities
•    Support design or enhancement of custom applications and side-by-side extensions on SAP BTP where analytics solutions need to be embedded into business processes.
•    Contribute to lightweight services, APIs, or extensions using CAP (Cloud Application Programming Model) or similar SAP BTP development approaches where required.
•    Support development or enhancement of SAPUI5 / Fiori / web-based applications related to reporting, workflow support, or embedded analytics use cases.
•    Work with SAP Build Code and/or SAP Business Application Studio for prototyping, development support, or technical collaboration where needed.
•    Collaborate with application developers and integration teams in end-to-end BTP solutions that combine analytics, reporting, and extensions.

Requirements:

• Have at least 4-10 years’ experience working with SAP Analytics Cloud/ Datasphere with experience in BTP


• SAP Datasphere data modeling


• SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) story / dashboard development


• Integration between SAP Datasphere and SAC


• SAP reporting and analytics solution design


• Business requirement gathering and stakeholder communication


• Mentoring / supporting junior resources


• Working knowledge of SAC scripting / Analytics Designer


• Understanding of SAP Cloud Connector concepts and reporting architecture


• Strong hands-on experience with SAP Datasphere, including Data Builder and semantic modeling, fact / dimension / hierarchy modeling, analytic model creation, and business-ready consumption modeling.


•  Good experience in SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), including story creation, dashboard design, KPI reporting, data visualization, and live consumption from SAP Datasphere.


• Experience integrating SAP Datasphere and SAP Analytics Cloud, including model consumption and reporting architecture design.


•  Working knowledge of SAP Analytics Cloud scripting / Analytics Designer for advanced stories or interactive analytics scenarios.


• Understanding of SAP reporting and analytics architecture, and how to translate business requirements into practical reporting solutions.


•  Understanding of SAP Cloud Connector concepts where on-premise sources are connected to the cloud reporting landscape.
  Good-to-Have / Preferred Technical Skills


• Exposure to SAP BTP application development concepts such as SAP Build Code, SAP Business Application Studio, or CAP (Cloud Application Programming Model).


• Awareness of SAPUI5 / Fiori-based applications and side-by-side extension patterns on SAP BTP.


•  Experience creating or supporting lightweight services, APIs, or custom applications in SAP BTP.


• Familiarity with application lifecycle concepts such as development, deployment, and configuration in SAP BTP environments.


•  Knowledge of SQL, JavaScript, or related scripting / development logic relevant to reporting, transformations, or extension scenarios.
  Functional & Business Skills


• Ability to understand business reporting and process requirements and translate them into scalable analytics solutions.


• Strong communication skills with business users, analysts, architects, and technical team


• Ability to recommend practical, governed, and performance-aware solutions.


• Good understanding of reporting usability, KPI design, and dashboard storytelling.


• Any experience within basic technical debugging is an added advantage.


• Certifications in any of the above applications and/or certified in ITIL or Project Management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE or Agile) is an added advantage


• Good command of English Language. Ability to speak and/or write other languages will be an added advantage. Example: Mandarin, Bahasa Malaysia/Indonesia, Thai, Vietnamese, Korean, Japanese, etc.


• Ability to lead and/or facilitate discussions, engage stakeholders and drive positive outcomes


• Pro-active, resourceful, able to rally members to collaborate and deliver task assigned in a timely manner


• Flexibility to take on new solutions/applications where applicable and ensure successful integration and support for the business


• Willing to work based on clients’ business workdays and office hours and on rotation basis to support any critical or high request after client’s business office hours.


• Ability to travel if required, i.e. to be placed at Client’s site for the project
