Technical Officer - BHS Operations

Job Description

POSITION GENERAL SUMMARY

• Execute timely the operation works and ensuring the works done are accordingly to the specified operation standards, best practices and quality so as to ensure the serviceability and reliability of facilities as well as operational efficiency and cost optimization.

ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTIONS

• Perform daily Baggage Handling System (BHS) Operation Center from the Operation Monitoring Terminal (OMT) and Information Monitoring Terminal (IMT).


• Assist on Internal Customer Satisfaction Survey in order to get customer’s feedback on BHS services


• Respond on ground handlers /Feedback/Request.  


• Update status BHS/SS Communication unit (TRS & Intercom). - Monthly


• Inform any abnormality with regards to BHS operation to the duty Technical Officer


• Ensure support service staff performance at the required level as per contract.


• Record system performance during shift.


• Assist BHS Operation Technical Officer in any operation and maintenance related matter.


• Inspection MUL and BR assignment base on flight schedule and rearrange conveyor line for PPM activities.


• Monitoring SCADA, Airflow, and PPM activities and associated documentation such as Operation Daily Report, Airflow Assignment check sheet, EBS baggage movement  etc.


• Rearrange MUL and BR assignment base on flight operation schedule from FOM


• Instruct recovery team to attend operation failure and other related issue.


• Monitoring and inspection of BHS system, Tub constraint at Check in counters and BR line via CCTV


• Standby and attend breakdown based on complaint
  
   

Key Challenges

• Collate operation and maintenance data timely. 


• Optimum usage of the available resources for operation and maintenance activities.


• Effectively utilize IT tools i.e. MS Office, BBIT SCADA 


• Customer’s complaint (i.e ground handlers, pax ect. ) investigation matters.

• Able to work independently with minimum supervision


• Proficient in Bahasa Malaysia and English


• Computer literate

Relevant Industries

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in Mechatronics, Electrical, Electronic, Mechanical, or Technical Engineering.
  

Qualifications & Experience:

• Preferred Industries: Airport Operations, Aviation Support Services, Logistics & Material Handling, Industrial Automation.


• Functional Experience: Control Centre Room (CCR) monitoring, automated conveyor/sorting system operations, terminal maintenance support, and customer query resolution.

Education

• Diploma in Mechatronics / Electrical / Electronic / Mechanical / Technical Engineering.


• Minimum CGPA of 2.80.
