POSITION OBJECTIVES

Confirmations

To assist Section Head:

• To ensure that the section’s functions and responsibilities are carried out effectively.
• To identify and improve operational processes on continuous basis.
• To embark on quality efforts towards creating quality environment.
• To support the implementation of new products and new system.
• Adherence to internal policy & procedures and regulatory compliance.

KEY FUNCTIONS/ RESPONSIBILITIES

Trade Confirmation

• Ensures the trade confirmations and notification letters are prepared timely and accurately based on independent sources.
• Ensures all the trade confirmations and notification letters are issued, matched and affirmed within SLA timelines.
• Timely update the Confirmation Aging database for confirmation status, tracking and record purpose.
• Closely monitor and follow up on all outstanding trade confirmations to ensure prompt resolution and minimised operational risk.
• Timely escalation of the aging items to relevant stakeholders to ensure prompt actions and closure.
• Investigate and resolve confirmation discrepancies and unmatched trades promptly.
• Support the trade confirmations for OCBC Malaysia, Singapore and other oversea entities.

Documentation

• Review ISDA and ISMA from operational perspective and provide feedback or comments, if any to relevant party.

Mark-to-Market Statement / Audit Statement (MY entity only)

• Ensure timely preparation of MTM and Audit Statement.

Brokerage (MY entity only)

• Ensure that brokerage is reconciled and payment is made within stipulated timeline.

New Products/ System Enhancement

• Participate in new product or project meeting or UAT testing.
• Draw up new process to support the new product and system process.
• Feedback to management of any gaps for process improvement.
• Contribute to process standardisation and efficiency improvement initiatives.

Customer Service

• Liaise and work closely with Global Markets in order to improve services rendered to them.
• Liaise with other departments & branches to streamline inter-departmental processes.
• Attend to internal & external customers’ enquiries

Others

•  Ad hoc assignments assigned by the Team Lead.

Who you are
- A Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Banking, Economics or related fields.
- Fresh graduates are welcomed to apply but preferable at least 3 years of experience in Treasury Operations/Market Operations/Trade Confirmations or related fields.
- Ability to read and understand Chinese is preferred.

- Understanding of treasury products and the trade confirmation lifecycle will be an added advantage.

- High attention to details with strong operational risk awareness.

- Able to work under pressure and meet tight timelines.

- Able to work independently with minimal supervision while also being a strong team player.
