Join Maxis as an Audit Analytics & Automation Intern and gain hands-on exposure to data engineering, automation, and AI-driven solutions within the audit function. In this role, you will work closely with auditors and technical teams to support data-driven audits, streamline workflows, and enhance operational efficiency through innovative technologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Data Pipeline Engineering & Automation: Assist in designing, building, and maintaining robust data pipelines for continuous audit monitoring. Support the transition of legacy automation workflows into modern, cloud-based orchestration platforms to ensure reliable and seamless data operations.

• AI-Driven Workflow Automation: Design, test, and deploy AI-driven solutions to streamline repetitive and manual internal workflows. Explore emerging artificial intelligence technologies and support their integration into day-to-day operations to improve efficiency and innovation.

• Process Optimisation & Documentation: Maintain clear and comprehensive documentation for newly developed data pipelines, analytics scripts, and AI models. Participate in brainstorming and process improvement discussions to help optimise internal audit workflows through technology.

• Data Extraction & Processing: Collaborate with auditors to extract, clean, and structure data from various enterprise systems, ensuring datasets are accurate, secure, and readily available for audit activities.

• Advanced Audit Analytics: Support the audit team in analysing complex datasets to identify trends, anomalies, and potential control risks. Utilise data analytics and visualisation tools to transform raw data into meaningful insights that strengthen audit quality and effectiveness.

Preferred Skills/Qualifications

• Education: Currently pursuing or holding a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Accounting Information Systems, or related disciplines.

• Technical Skills: Familiarity with SQL and Python for data extraction, analysis, and automation tasks.

• Analytics & Automation Knowledge: Basic understanding of data engineering concepts, automation tools, and AI technologies.

• Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical thinking with the ability to interpret data, identify issues, and propose practical solutions.

• Mindset: Proactive, curious, and eager to learn new technologies and approaches in a fast-paced environment.

• Collaboration: Able to work both independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
